LAH Parade (1 Viewer)

This is what you call a parade with a big "P". Very impressive . How many men do you have on parade and how big is this display??
guy:)

Nice collection, Not to get too far off the subject, but I went to see Zeppelin field, in Nuremburg back in '2000. And I'm not one for pseudo, psychic bull you know what. But the place had a very heavy feel about it. They were setting up for a motocross event that weekend. My cousin's husband, and I were free to wander about the stands, and grounds. And though he knew nothing of the history of the stadium, as I did. He said the place made him feel uneasy. I still have a small piece of the deteriorating concrete from the steps of the main viewing stand. 12 years later, is Zeppelin field still there?

Yeah its still there. I was over there for a football match and FC Nurnberg stadium is built on the old rally grounds. The museum of national socialism they have there now is well worth a visit. Your right though, the place does have a quite sinister aura about it - especially when you think about where what that regime, and ideology, ultimately lead to.

Another thing that I like about this set up is everything is in use and displayed on a nice big open table. You have it and use it {bravo}}

This is quite an interesting site about some of the remaining architectural 'triumphs' of the Nazis.

Cheers, Jules, for mentioning my site; the homepage is dedicated to the Nazi rally parade grounds in Nuremberg. The museum there that an earlier post mentioned has a few displays of similar figures from the NSDAP period. I'd posted photos of them but had to prune the pages down.

Very interesting site. I was on it for over an hour. Now I'll quit diverting this thread. Thanks.

I hope you folks don't mind a few more pictures of the same Dio I am still trying to practice & improve on pictures, until my friend comes over with his pro camera. I have never counted how many figures I have in this Dio, I should before are sent to the Russian front*

Thank you for more pictures of your setup. I really appreciate it as it gives me a whole mess of new ideas to work with. In my opinion, you really don’t need your friends help with your pictures unless you want to. You are doing a fine job yourself.

I think what other members were requesting are more detailed pictures of your collection so everyone can appreciate the details of it (which you have started to provide with this latest batch- by the way.)

While some overall pictures are good (to provide scale and depth) more pictures of details of all the various groups really adds to enjoyment of others looking at your collection. Think about looking at it in person and trying to share that feeling with others.

I know it might be challenging with such a large collection as your Berlin 38 display but I know I’ll check it out and am eagerly waiting for more pictures.
