Landing Craft???!!!! (1 Viewer)

No the King & Country Landing Craft are long retired, and getting difficult to

find.

I thought that was the case. Still, I would recommend the Conte craft to anyone, especially whenever Conte has one of it's buy 1, get 1 free sales on. Postage is a bit of a killer, but when you're not paying much for the piece(s) in the first place, I'd say it's an acceptable hit.

Simon I agree, especially after seeing the wonderful pictures. I think they

are nicely done, and would be a great addition to your collection!

First, Carlos - wonderful Pacific scene with the Marines and LVTs.

Second, I second the motion on the high quality of the Conte landing craft. When I saw them at OTSN 2007 I thought they were as nice as most plastic models. The two models are the LCVP (Land Craft Vehicles and Personnel) and the LCM (Landing Craft Medium). The LCVP carried about 32 men or a Jeep-sized vehicle, the LCM could carry more troops or up to a Sherman tank. The US LCMs in the first wave at Normandy weren't used for vehicles but carried Engineer teams for clearing the obstacles.
