Larger CS Figure's are MUCH more...... (1 Viewer)

John - What do you know about the manufacturer? I bounght a union artillery set and am pleased with the quality. Are they a generic of some branded product such as Conte? Bill

They are not an off-shoot of any other company. There was a write up a few years ago about the founder of the company...his background is using AutoCad. He decided to apply the technology to the toy soldier market... That's right...he uses AutoCad to design the figures...

I believe the figures have steadily improved and I really like the detail on the vehicles of Tobruk. It is nice to see another company offering their own unique viewpoint on the market.

I admit I was not a fan of most of the first pieces in 54/60mm. However, I have always been a fan of the busts and the 1/6 figures, great detail.

Incidentally, anyone have a Rommel Bust they want to sell???????

There was an article in TS & MF sometime last year about how he designed the soldiers.

I met Brian at Chicago. He does alot of the sculpting in the computer then outputs them. Past releases were so so, Africa Corp was pretty good ( I have two 88's ), but I must say the Arnhem release coming out in Feb/March looked spectacular really. I was a big fan after I saw those pieces.:D

That's interesting......being a Draughtsman I use AutoCAD all day long, I will have to look into this:cool:

Jeff,

If you wish I can send you the article in TS & MF, which Brian wrote, about how he designs soldiers. If you would like it, send me your address.

Cheers,

Stereo lithography is the actual method he uses. From his Video Game design background.
