Anyone catch todays episode of Last Man Standing (3/1/19). The last 5 minutes Tim Allen's character is sitting in his office with Hector Elizondo and Jonathan Adams talking about the things they use to do as kids compared to what kids do for fun now a days. As their talking about it Tim Allen has a whole table of model and toy tanks set up as he is looking at one of the tanks as if its no longer relevant with kids :(

Doesn't one of his neighbors have a pool-table-sized display of tanks and other models, too? I recall something like that from an earlier episode.

It's a good series, and I'm glad it got rebooted, but I think they should not have replaced Mandy. It would have been better to make her story that she went off to school. Then they could bring Molly Ephraim back for occasional guest appearances.

I like the references to "Home Improvement", though, cleverly worked in.

Prost!

Have watched the show since the beginning and have enjoyed it, mostly because Tim's outlook on life is a lot closer to mine, (conservative), than most stuff that comes out of Hollywood. Agree that replacing Mandy, especially with someone so opposite in physical appearance, personality, and acting ability, was a mistake. The new actress is a constant distraction. As a result, I feel the reboot has been inferior to the original show. Tim has had a collection of scale armor throughout the series. You can see it on his desk in the store office quite often. I have spotted different stugs and other German tanks, along with a Sherman. There was also an episode where Tim's neighbor was trying to unload her deceased husband's TS collection and the armor was shown several times in that episode as Tim played with it and tried to position himself to 'inherit' the collection. -- Al

Yeah, that's the one I remembered.

I don't have cable, so I get my TV in doses, when I'm somewhere else with cable, most often, house-sitting for my aunt and uncle when they travel. Last week I was watching their house, and I discovered that CMT has five or six hours of Tim Allen every day, with "Home Improvement" from 2PM till 5PM, followed by a couple hours of "Last Man Standing". I had marathon sessions, then switched over to "The Big Bang Theory" on TBD.

Prost!

Haven't seen the show but will check it out if it appears in Australia. I enjoyed his earlier Home Improvement show, there were a lot of 1:18 scale Diecast cars displayed in Tim's home in that series (I used to collect them back then), and it's interesting that 'Toys' also make an appearance in the new show.
