Haven't heard of this but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few incidents like this. What about the British islands off of France that were captured by the Germans. I would think that there must have been a skirmish or two there at some point.

I suppose this is unless, you believe in the eagle has landed!!!! Wasn't this one of the reasons why the house/pub was not demolished a while back??

Never heard of it, either. My question: just what did the German flyers think that resisting was going to do for their situation? If they had killed any of the British soldiers, they would now be listed as KIA instead of POW. Interesting. -- Al

Odd isn't it, unless they were just holding them off longer enough to set the demolition charge to destroy the plane. I also think it says something that afterwards they all had a drink in the local together!.
