Hi, new here (just got hooked on K&C couple months ago NA/WWII), apologies if treading old ground, but since K&C seems to have a Stug theme going in AK and FOB, would like to see a later war version, ie bigger gun, commander's cupola (perhaps with shielded machine-gunner's position on right?), side skirting.. Also since late to party would like to see a Tiger or two with a Sherman Firefly as a challenger, but upcoming Sherman should be a good enough fix for now..

I second that motion!.Have just finished watching an episode of 'Tanks' entitled Sturmgeschutze and Panzerjaeger which had a large section devoted to Stugs and i would love to see a late version. These really were vital workhorses for the Germans and were superb as both infantry support and Tank destroying roles.I think the two latest K&C versions are spot on (even though i don't own them yet!!:()and hopefully they will soon be giving my German troops some support.

Yes it took its toll on the opposition as a tank destroyer, a role thrust upon it as it was cheaper to produce. Would like to see it in a three-colour tone Normandy bocage version or a winter version.

I'd like to see any Stug with Long gun and side skirts,Normandy,Russia any theatre would be fine.

Hear, hear, but as we know Andy at K&C needs to see a greater show of hands to satisfy the laws of economics..! Anyway I think it would make a great model/version.. Who knows though, there's two Panzer IV versions and likewise of the Stug in the current range so maybe there's a natural progression..

Yes the beauty of my evil plan is that Andy would only have to upgun and add some side skirts and our new Stug rolls into action!.I'm only kidding really,i have yet to get the other two Stugs so i'm not in a rush!;)

Guys

Paint it WHITE and it will sell big time !! :D

Especially for me ! ;)

Can't believe it! Was exploring Treefrog dioramas section yesterday and came across the Stug I had in mind (long barrel, skirting, cupola, shielded MG34/42, three colour scheme). Though admittedly it looks like an early K&C model, so any updated version would undoubtedly be more "refined".. Winter white is also good..

Agreed, there is no such thing as an unwanted Stug!

You may have been looking at a 1997 issue wood and metal Stug III, one of the nicest vehicles K&C ever made. It had hinged hatches, came with two half figures (a commander and a gunner looking through binoculars), and had a complete complement of supplies on the back deck. Its detail matches the best polystone vehicles made today. It had side skirts (with complete hull, track and bogie wheel detail underneath), an MG42 positioned in the shield in front of the gunners hatch, and was in the three color camouflage of the Hitlerjugend SS Panzer Division for the Normandy or Italian campaign. It would be great if Andy used it as the basis for a new polystone version.

Yeah, I reckon it's time for a white Stug to complement Bulge and Eastern front displays.

I think a long barrelled skirted Stug would be cool for the Bulge front, however if my hard pressed US Troops don't get some help soon they will be overun.I currently have a 76mm Sherman,M10 Tank destroyer and a half track Mortar Carrier trying to hold off a Tiger,Panther,MK4,Hummel,Grille and Sturmtiger!.Its looking desperate for the boys in the Bulge!

Do what the allies did in real life and call in some air support. Do you have a spare $900 for a K & C Typhoon or similar ground attack plane

I wish!.Maybe i'll have to buy that US SPG for some artillery back up.Mind you £450 sounds a lot less than $900,i wonder if the wife will fall for that one:eek:;)

Thanks for the background info on that model. Looks like it may be time to roll out a new version from a different outfit..

Haha, yes I did and was going to be sneaky about it too, but limited to one time vote only..:D
