Re: New Warbird!

Harvey - Congrats ! Great Model - I love the AK stuff too !

Yes, Here in Washington - the Defense Budget is getting slashed ! - Even mine - LOL :p

K&C Warbirds are simply not in the new Democrat Defense budget ;) (hahahaha) - 2009 looks to be a ground war for me.

Re: New Warbird!

Re: New Warbird!

Wow Harvey! That looks a lot better than the original K&C Desert Stuka from 1994 - that is one gorgeous plane!!!:cool:

Re: New Warbird!

I also have a model of a WWII Stuka .......1:48 scale Franklin Mint.....It is an excellent model.....and a lot less in cost.....aprox $110 at this time.....What is the cost for the warbird?.......anyway just a suggestion for those of us who cannot afford a K/C warbird? Regards
That is a lovely rendition. To follow up for the rest of us on a smaller budget for these, there are quite a few Franklin Mint 1/48 Stukas available at $70 over at the Flying Mule.

I can't believe they want $5000 for it. I wonder what K&C are charging?

Re: Ju87 Stuka (Operation Marita Version)

K & C are charging $995. All the prices that Metals of Honor charges for Warbirds is absurd. If you want to see the retail prices of what K & C has produced, go to Bill Sager's site.

Re: Ju87 Stuka (Operation Marita Version)

Re: Ju87 Stuka (Operation Marita Version)

I had never seen the Metals of Honor website. Who do these people think they are? The prices are beyond ridiculous. How can they get away with this? Does anyone buy from them? You have to be a fool to buy anything from this place since with a couple of exceptions, you can get all of the stuff they have a reasonable prices. I am all for increasing the value of K&C items since I been collecting for ten years and have some very valuable sets, but this is outrageous. I really get upset by this kind of speculation.

Re: New Warbird!

Bill Sager has pictures of several of the new Warbirds on his site, including photos of some fantastic looking Feisler Storches and other versions of the Ju 87.

Re: New Warbird!

Over on International Toy Soldiers Gallery forum, Someone has done a comprehensive history of the Stuka and it's conception. It is worth reading and viewing the pictures. They have a lot of historical material on the forum including tanks and other vehicles. If you are going to own a model of the Stuka you may as well become a student of its history.

Here is the most recent plane from K & C, a Boeing 314 but in 1/50 scale. I think this may be one of a kind.
