Hello Andy, congratulations for these releases, IMO the Avro Lancasters is the most beautiful plane K&C created until now....

Rod.

Well Andy / Patrick

I have not collected Warbirds yet ... but this gets me wondering, the Lancs must be at least 2' long with a wingspan of at least 3'.

How does one go about ordering them ? How many are produced ? and how much will they set one back ?

I may be in HK in mid-May ... imagine trying to board a flight, with one of these under each arm

OD

I've got no interest in buying or collecting Warbirds, but you just have to be impressed with the overall presentation and quality of these new ones. Those Lancasters are something else!

Jeff

If you cannot afford it don't ask, so I won't!!
Toys for the happy few, that's for sure!!
Gowddd, I wish I could buy that Lancaster.........

Fantastic set of planes, really like that angry looking P-40, unfortunately like many collectors I can't afford any. Until K&C start making more affordable versions I'll have to buy planes from Corgi, FOV, Ultimate Soldier and the like. Of more interest to me are those RAF figures!

Yep. My WW2 favorite plane. Is there a real one flying about somewhere?

They are fantastic indeed. These, as Andy's post indicated, are on the K & C website and the Lancs, I believe, are $2,700. However, there are a number of very nice other Warbirds as well that start at $795 (shipping is extra).

If you would like to order one, you can do it through the web site or you can contact Fanny Luk at fanny.luk@kingandcountry.com

Those look flipping sweet, wish I had the room or the bucks. Anyone from the forum pick one up?

I am a tank guy through and through, but those planes transcend the boundaries of what one collects. They are simply beautiful!!!

Hi,I think the Avro Lancasters are terrific, but would Royal Air Force aircraft based in the Lincoln UK area have an american style icon like "pistol packing mama" on the fuselage ? As an ex member of the RAF (not wartime) I would have thought the icon would have been more English coming from that era.
Regards John

I Live in Lincolnshire and watched the Battle of Britain memorial flight at RAF Scampton 2 days ago truly awesome our freind andy isnt a big fan of the English so dont hold your breath waiting for an English motto.

Models have to be given the praise they deserve however they are truly a thing of beauty.

They may have done G for George previously if memory serves many realistically priced Lancaster models are on sale at most major UK air displays but these K&C warbirds are the best ive seen

A thing of beauty they maybe but historically acurate???

It appears that only 5 of each of the Lancasters have been made. Much like the K&C dioramas, owning one puts you in a very exclusive club. Quality, like exclusivity has its price and there is no doubt, historically perfect or not, they are worth every penny.

Oh Yes!! the battle Of Britain Memorial flight has one you can find details of the programme on line I only live 15 miles from RAF Scampton the home of the dambuster squadron it visits regularly and is a real attraction hundreds of people turn out to watch the flight.

it was flanked by two Spitfires when I saw it earlier this week on Sunday it was returning from a fly past in Pocklington full details of all flights are published on the BBMF website.

The Local Pub is called the Dambuster Inn lots of memorabilia also red arrows train at Scampton and can be seen almost daily whilst training worth a visit if you in UK.
