In March 2010 I by chance ran across an eBay seller who sells his own made circa 1:32 scale metal painted miniatures of Laurel & Hardy (L&H). His name is Robert W. Armstrong going under the trade name "Unicorn Miniatures" located in Whitley Bay, Northumberland, UK. Seller since late 2009 is semi retired and sells about 10 assorted figures per week on eBay only. His eBay ID is: ireneal. He also makes a great many other movie, comic book, TV programs, historical themed miniatures such as Sherlock Holmes, Tin,Tin, The Wizard of Oz, Nude Slave girls and what not! My interest was solely in the miniatures that relate to my favorite comedy team, Laurel & Hardy. Nearly all of of his L&H sets relate to certain scenes of L&H's movies. I now have #14 such sets each with photos from thier just over 100 movies as backdrops relating to an assortment of their movies from 1927 to 1945, their last USA made movie.
I decided to add two more such L&H sets from the above noted seller after I stop getting them in late 2010. Just today I received the last one via Royal Mail relating the 1931 movie "Be Big". The L&H sets are at about 1:32 scale and are in gloss and I think well painted. I have attached just one photo of the L&H set "Be Big" showing two photos as backdrops from this movie noting how Oliver's sweater got water logged and sagged down well below his knees! The two miniatures are very close to the the actual photos from this 1931 movie. See photo attached below.
