LCA ramp (1 Viewer)

I would like to display my LCA with the ramp in the 'closed' or 'up' position.
Can anyone explain how the ramp was held in the closed position? There are a few attachment stubs on the inside, but how about the rigging? Did they use ropes or chains

The ramp was lowered and raised by an arrangement of pulleys and wire but I don't know specifically how it was rigged

The rope in the foreground was to tie the LCA to a ship or to a dock or shore. If you look more closely at the photo, the 2 cables which work the ramp are heavy wire and are fairly stiff. To get the ramp down, one of the crew would release any catches and give it a push. There may have been a winding handle or two and possibly a ratchet to bring the ramp up?

I've also heard the bow/ramp was waterproofed by the crew when the ramp was repositioned in the up position.
