This scene has one of my favorite K&C action sets - DD099 2 man set shown here. Should they open fire on the passing Tiger I and panzer grenadiers hopping aboard (CS pieces)? This set up assumes that the 2 GI's pictured have more than just the two of them about to unleash on the unsuspecting Tiger and that the GI in the prone position is barking out to his fellow GI's behind him that we can't see. :)

Great shots Duke,got my money on the TIGER.

Ah, but you are forgetting the unknown element of the story.... who or what is the GI yelling to? Is it a bazooka crew? (even though a bazooka is not going to stop a Tiger right?)... is it a AT gun crew? :tongue:

A bazooka could stop a Tiger. Just get a shot through the vision slit. {eek3}^&grin^&grin

Like it. G.I. is probably yelling out to one of his buddies for a cigar ^&grin

Great Dio Duke, I hope for your GI's the Tiger does not turn its turret to the left !!!!! You know even a bazooka did not help very much even at close range .

... And a quick assessment. I see a dead or disabled tiger. If there are no other supporting German infantry or vehicles behind, those two outside riders are sitting ducks. The crew inside might not even discern the shots above the engine noise- all the hatches appear closed. If the tiger is moving slow enough, or stops, righthand G.I. slings his M1, and is down that ditch below the line of sight while his comrades move 90 degrees either way. He then mounts the tank at the rear, out of the holster comes the. 45, and a grenade if he has one. You might guess the rest.

Great assessment. I like it!

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Another dio for the top shelf Duke and another excellent choice of backdrop. 10 out of 10 from me!{bravo}}

Duke, good action scene. The tank riders are toast but I think the Tiger will fight another day :p

Well put together scene. Reminds me that I need K&C need to do a late war Tiger in camo for my collection. ^&cool

Very beautifully executed. I really enjoyed this piece.

As for the story, maybe they are calling out to the Canadians who have a Firefly come out to place the final shot. This looks like Witmann's last. And yes, I know these are GIs in the forefront.
