Hi
I was wondering if anyone has a list of the "store specific" K&C figures. I am referring to the ones like Joan of Arch from France and the Danish Life Guards from Toy Soldiers of Scandinavia. I am trying to get them all, but don't really know how to find out which stores have the special figures.
Thanks y'all!
Zach

The only list is at Sager's, which is just the three figures from the now closed Toy Soldiers France. If the criteria is figures issued by dealers, you'd have to include the Crimea figures issued by K & C UK. The only other I'm aware of is one issued by the Korean dealer; I think it was a Korean War figure.

At any rate, there is no other list.

I should add there is no other list that I'm aware of :wink2:

As far as i know, the 4 is the only ones produced. 3 guards with different tassels (Blue, white and red) One from each guard team. The guy marching has a red tassel.

You can try to contact Jakob (he´s a great guy) at Toysoldiers, and ask him for prices to the US!

Does anyone have a list of the K&C figures given away by K&C at the dinner events held at the shows?

Hi Zach,

There are some of the Danish Guard figures on ebay right now. They are nice looking figures.

Brian,

Bill Sager has a list (included among the promotional items). See Promotional Sets under Specialty Items on his site.

The former Spirit of 76 store had a four figure set of American heroes made for them; I think the set consisted of Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington and one other figure.

The former owner John gave me a couple of sets at OTSN about ten years ago if memory serves me; I in turn gave them to two of my customers soon afterward as gifts...........

So, that's what happened to my gift ^&grin

I think the Great Americans set was Teddy Roosevelt, Washington, Franklin and Stonewall Jackson.

Bumping this again b/c I am thoroughly confused with regards to the Danish guards? They all look the same to me, what is the "special"?

Also, Brad, what is the Korean figure? That is a new one to me.

Thanks!
TD

Tom,

I can't see what is special either about the Danish figures.

Regarding Korea, a Korean distributor or dealer (History Kingdom) was appointed in 2009 and someone posted a link to a news story at that time, which indicated that K & C and the distributor would be in discussions about a special figure, Maj. Gen. Paik Sun-yup, the first four-star general in the Korean Armed Forces. The figure was supposed to be released in connection with the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War.

See http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/art/2009/12/135_43067.html

I can't tell if a figure was ever issued because History Kingdom's site, www.worldwar2.co.kr, is in Korean.

As an aside, History Kingdom is also not listed as a distributor or dealer on the K & C site. I don't know if they still are a distributor or dealer although it looks like they are selling K & C. I guess we'll have to ask Andy in Chicago.

I don,t know if this counts. K&C did 4 figures for a company I think the name was Soldiers of the British Empire, something like that. I had the 4 figures, 24th Ft, Canadien Mounty, Gurka and I can,t recall the 4th. I remember talking to Andy about them at OTSN years ago and he said K&C did the 4 figures but the company never ordered more.
I have long since sold them, they also came with a booklet.
Gary

That's a new one on me Gary. Do you still have the booklet?
