Hi all, I have a fellow collector who has asked me to help him sell some absolutely beautiful dioramas that are Greenwood & Ball figures remade by Little Lead Soldiers of the UK. I have seen them in person and have many photos, they are incredible. They are located in the Northeast USA and would be very hard to ship.
I believe these are all 25-30mm in scale except the vignettes at the end. Obviously these were built to order, so in a way, they are one of a kind in that none were ever made exactly the same!
This is the same maker who made the Living Daylights James Bond Dio that was advertised on here in the recent past. Just awesome when you see them.
Anyhow, here is a list with original price paid. If you are interested in making an offer, please email me and I will send you some photos.
I. Greenwood Ball Dioramas
1. Balaclava - The Charge of the Light Brigade - 2'X4' - $2,000.
2. "Capturing the Eagle" at Waterloo - 2'x4'- $2,000.
3. Crusader Fort - 2'x2' - $750.
4. Surrender at Yorktown - 2'x4' - $2,800.
5. Vicksburg - 2'x4' - $2,500 (Probably one of the most incredible dios I have ever seen!)
6. Rorke's Drift - 2'x2' - $2,300.
7. The Somme - 2' x 2' - $1,500.
II. Vignettes
1. 22nd Cavalry Frontier Force Northwest Frontier India On Patrol, ca1889 - 9 40mm figures on horseback, 17" long, 7 1/4" wide - $100
2. Surprise Attack South Africa, 1855, man, woman with child - civilians and 2 Zulu ( one dead and one attacking), 54mm. 4 1/4" X 4 14" - $60
3. Isandlwanda, Jan. 22, 1879, Zulu Wars, British 24th Foot. 54mm. 9 British, 3 Zulus and one wagon, 10"long x 8 " wide - $250.
Prices listed were original prices paid for the commission. These are not for everyone, but it is a unique way to show an entire battle without taking up a ton of space! Vicksburg is incredible b/c it includes the train, bridge, garrisons, gullys, just unbelievable detail!
Thanks
Tom
