LL and Trophy (2 Viewers)

i'll have a word with mike and see what he thinks but i haven't had a problem with the colour, funny you should mention getting into ll:wink2:^&grin

hi martyn, the post of your battle of tamai shows the difference with so much silver showing on the rifles of the little legion figs. It really shows when you line up a firing line. Otherwise i think the figures are great. I have a lot of napoleonic pieces that augment my waterloo diorama. Some hand to hand sets. Mounted bw officer. Wellington and aid. Napoleon waiving his hat to my column of 100 imperial garde marching by. There are some truely great pieces. Also have some sudan dervish pieces and a beautiful natel mounted police figure. Just wish he could do something about the top of the rifles. I do not think it is copying trophy as the face sculpts are different

I also find it fantastic to match LL and Trophy sets...they go very well. Now that Trophy is no longer trading to have LL to supplement the growth of our armies is a key asset....

Hi Fleury

Great pictures

I agree entirely, we are lucky that reinforcements are readily available from our mutual friend in South Wales to swell the ranks :salute:::salute:::salute::

Cheers

Hi Luiz,

Thanks very much for your excellent shots of your Trophy and Little Legion sets together. The figures from both are very compatible on display.

You have good reference books re: the "Silver" series published by Windrow and Greene.....well illustrated.

By the way, did Little Legion make the flagbearers of the 24th Regt Colours and the Queen's colours ?

Cheers, Raymond:)

Hi Raymond,

The flagbearers of the 24th came from a lucky pick at e-Bay. Not sure the origin of the soldiers, but a nice add-on since we do not have many options for flagbearers from current and past manufacturers.

Will add more photos soon.

Let us keep in touch.

Regards,

Luiz

Hi Martyn and friends.............

Any idea as to when will Mike from Little Legion will come up with a bag piper for the Scots? I am holding back from starting to build up a set waiting for that! I consider blasphemy roll out and buy a Highland Regiment without a bagpipe............Unless you are a Lowlander ..... but then drop the kilt and field the soldiers in trews......for Pete´s sake...............

Hi Luiz

The picture was taken at the London Show in March, I missed him then.

Mike will have a Black Watch Highlander in grey (Battle of Tamai) ready for me to collect at the December Show, along with several other figures and Artillery pieces;)^&grin

Cheers

Martyn:)
