London Has Fallen (2016) (1 Viewer)

Sequel to Olympus Has Fallen. Looks good and good cast. On my list now.

Gerard Butler as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning
Aaron Eckhart as President Benjamin Asher
Morgan Freeman as Vice President Allan Trumbull
Angela Bassett as Lynne Jacobs, the Director of the United States Secret Service
Robert Forster as US Army General Edward Clegg
Melissa Leo as Secretary of Defense Ruth McMillan
Radha Mitchell as Leah Banning, Mike's wife and a nurse
Jackie Earle Haley as Deputy Chief Mason

I will skip it like I did the first one. Morgan Freeman must be in a rut. :salute::
Might be a sellout in ISIS theaters. They can get their rocks off blowing up the
White House and Buckingham Place.

Going to see Son of Saul this weekend.

London has fallen movie

Follow on from Olympus has fallen about attack on White House. This time Gerard Butler is taking on a lot more bad guys whilst trying to save the President amongst mayhem in London.

This is the sort of movie, due to its subject matter, that might had had its release delayed if it did not make it out just before the Brussels attacks.

If you like the Die Hard type movies or Olympus then you know what to expect with the good guy against overwhelming odds. American viewers will be suitably impressed with the President played by Aaron Eckhart.

There were a couple of bad detail errors that irritated.

One was the senior British Police Officer who clearly was Commissioner rank judging by him being in a meeting with PM and being in command, plus the insignia on his uniform. However later the Vice President refers to him as Chief Inspector.

The other was when Butler meets a British SAS officer who introduces himself as a Captain of 22 SAS.
Later on Butler is referring to him as Lt.

Not one of the best movies I have seen but good cast and effects.

Did make me think Butler would be a good Bond but might be a bit old now to sign up for a few movies.

Re: London has fallen movie

I saw the movie. I think that Olympus has Fallen was better. The CGI in this London has Fallen looks a little suspect.

Re: London has fallen movie

In light of your post overnight in my Jones movie thread I could not help but recall this post of yours a few days ago. Seems you have taken a great interest in my movie comments even to the point of searching back for old ones. Is it really important to you to monitor my movie posts ? It just seems a bit odd as we are only talking about movies.

I am referring to your post in the thread I started yesterday on the Jones movie. Your post (2nd in the thead) was a link to UKrebs thread on same movie of 2 months before. Similar to the the 2nd post in this thread where you linked to a post I made in Nov. Just odd.

My post was in UKReb's thread.

Yeah, I'm not getting it: two threads can't co-exist on the same topic but someone else can use your avatar? I'm way off track obviously.^&confuse
