London Show December - Pictures (2 Viewers)

That is all my pics this time. I am sure lots more will follow from the other guys.

The show was very busy - which was great.

Also good to see the new manufacturers appearing which just adds to the offerings of the London Show.

Cheers

Thanks for posting all these pics Gazza. Interesting to me is the first pic in your #14 post of the WB RAF pilot holding a model spitfire and the English boy. I'm assuming these are unreleased new pieces? I've not seen these before.

Yes I think you are right.

I have not seen it before.

It was in a large glass curio cabinet at the show with a number of other pieces so assume they were new releases. Because of the cabinet that was the best pic I could get with a camera phone.

Something a bit different

Gazza did Clive have anything from Figarti out of interest ?

Yes he had his Figarti display but I am not sure that there was anything new. Not that I know a lot about Figarti though :smile2:

I looked for the new KV1 but did not see it. Maybe the other guys did / have some pics.

He did have some interesting wooden planes from Philippines (not Figarti) - a Dakota, JU52 and I think the last one may have been a Condor.

Huge, 1/30 scale, impressive looking and a good price. Hopefully someone else will have a pic or two.

Cheers

Gazza cheer for that and thank for posting the photos ! Did you buy much lol?

Good to meet you again Gary and I see you have started the ball rolling! :wink2:

Another great show and I managed to take just over 200 photos, which will take a while to sort and resize for the forum, so probably I'll start posting these in the morning (my time).

Later.....

Jeff :salute::

Did anyone get a good look at the K&C English civil war cannon?

Terry

I know what you are going to ask Terry! :wink2:...I picked it up and got the impression that - resin body and white metal wheels and nicely finished for the price. The P&M range is right up my street and I have started with No.1.

Thanks to all you guys for these excellent pics.

Thanks Jeff. I expected it to be of resin and that's not an issue. I was more curious about the historical aspects of the gun and how good the model appears in person. I have to buy from the photos..I was wondering also of the history of English cannon.
Many of the cannon of the period, especially European iron cannon had certain characteristics including ornamentation, lifting handles, heavily reinforced wheels and 4 strength bands. There is a variation in cannon of the time as there were many makers - some making cannon for both sides at the same time. There are numerous examples of English made iron cannon with no ornamentation, no lifting handles, simple wheels and even a few with less than 4 strength bands.

I am unexpectedly collecting this range - I blame Rob.:)

Hi,

I missed the show for the first time since June 2007 due to a sickness bug:mad: Are the WW1 Brits in trench coats in this photo new, or have I simply missed them?

Pete

Hi Pete

Sorry to hear you are not well - thought you were missing as did not see you loitering at the JJG stand !!!

I think TG announced this in November - can be used for WW1 or in Russian Civil War, as they had some Red Russians for opposition
