Are the running NCO and standing, firing BEF figures a new painting style? They appear quite different in tone to the other examples. I really like the charging lancer as well as all the Belgians. Your WW1 series is terrific. -- Al

Hi Al,

Thank you. The WW1 range is really picking up momentum now.

The three new pieces you elude to will be slightly different as they are part of a new range we previewed at the LTSS. We have teamed up with an award winning resin kit manufacturer, Tommy's War, to produce a selection of their lines as metal panted figures. These will be limited in number to one hundred and only be available direct from ourselves or Tommy's War. They are due for release in March.

Glad you like them.

Hi Mark,

Thank you.

They sure do have some great poses and we have so much we can choose from. These first three are firm favourites of the range for me. This is a trial set of releases to gauge interest. Should it work, we have plans to extend the range over the next 12 months and onward. It helps that the owner is a nice guy and a chum. We first met when I purchased a medal group from him a few years ago.

best regards,

Malcolm.:salute::

Looking at these photos the British Lancer surging forward is a very high quality painted model.

Do have any price on this figure and the accompanying British Army infantry figures ?

When do you hope to have them on sale ?

Thanks, we are quite proud of our tie in with Tommy's War.

These will be a step paint wise from our normal figures but please remember, these are the paint masters and not the factory pre production samples. There should be little, if any change but, we have to wait and see.

Price point will be the same as for our standard ranges. £37.50 per foot figure and £75 for the mounted. We could have increased the price due to a number of reasons but that is not our company style.

The firing figure should be released in late March, the running figure April / May and the Lancer in June.

Once we have the factory ore productions, we will post images.

All are limited to 100 pieces each, will be numbered and certificated and will only be available direct from Empire or Tommy's War. Doing this has helped us to keep the price point where it is.

Please PM me for any further details, always happy to help.

Malcolm. :salute::
