Maison Militaire is a company I buy most of my Britains sets from, they also a dealer for CS and this was the first time I have seen their Rifles figures. They do look good in person, however, they're not on my list as I don't want another series to collect...good though.

Now on to Britains who rival K&C in my collection for most boxes. I think Britains are now very good compared with where they were even just 3-4 years ago (change of owners and a few gifted individuals may have something to do with that). I collect ACW, Zulu and WWI from their output and I know I'm going to branch out with their Nap Lancers (who are nearly impossible to pre-order now even though they're not out yet - same goes for their Ltd Ed Zulu sets). I saw their new WWII figures yesterday and they might even blow another hole in my bank balance. I may be biased but I like Britains.......ah.....ah.........:D

I also pre-ordered the Nap Rifles Officer - this one will go very quickly I believe.

So all in all a good show, it was great to meet all the other Brit treefroggers and especially thanks to Jeff for posting about 80% of what I had imaged. That saved me a few hours.....

So what did I get,
Figarti desert Fox
Britains Mealie wall set
Britains NMP set (pre-ordered ages ago)
K&C WSS 123 Machine gun forward
and 2 K&C Naps

I got the WWI sets a few days previously as well as some more Naps.

June Show Orders
3 x Britains Nap French Lancers
Lots of Britains Zulu sets

and some K&C sets depending if the WWI Germans and Normandy Brits come out. Better start saving now.

Rgds

Andy,
Thanks for the great fun this morning. Everytime I would finish viewing this thread and go back to the "New Posts" page, you would add a new posting. It felt like I was playing tag with you across the Atlantic. Anyway, great time seeing all the new figures. I now know, because of you and a previous set of pictures from Carlos that it was a good decision to pre order the Figarti fueling truck.

Micheal,

Its a great set, and I wish I could get one, but there are other things I would like first.

Andy

Thanks Andy for the addiitional photos and it's nice to know you got your long await NPM and looks like you'll be leaving the June show with the addiitional ZW Sets. Again thanks for the time spent taking and sharing your photos......Joe

Thanks for posting the pics, really appreciate ti. Was the TMterrain Church and rectory as impressive as it appears in pics? did you catch the price on that?

Andy, sorry about that  Great minds must think alike

How did you manage to get some of the Trophy sets? I couldn't find any after Martyn (GICOP) had been round!;)

A good day - nice to have met you and the others.

Carlos,

Andy & I are only repaying the compliments to yourself and others who have in the past shown the highlights from the US shows.

Thanks hugely for the pictures and reports, guys, it's great to be able to get a flavour of the day!

Enormously excited today - although it's only very provisional at the moment, there's a chance I may be able to make it over to meet some of you properly at the June show.

I'm heading to the Continent with my father for a fortnight or so at the end of June for an extended break (which fingers crossed should take in more than a few sites of definite historical interest!). As we plan on heading via the UK any way, it looks like I may well be in London for the day on Saturday 27th.

Don't want to "jinx" things just yet, but needless to say, I'll be extremely happy if the dates can be lined up properly;).

All the best,

Molloy.

Hi Andy,

Thanks so much for posting your wonderful photographs! Seeing all your photographs is the next best thing to attending the show!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi Guys

Well what a show!!

Let me give you an overall feedback from the traders and customers!

March is generally a quieter show, but a great one if you want to mix and talk with the traders and have agood look at the tables!

ALL traders commented on how good the show was. All traders noticed the window shopping at first followed by customers coming back to buy. So there was a lot more shopping around unlike Decmember where people just grabbed what they wanted so the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed.

The San pabelo boat that we had made in the UK (we had prototype one and two) sold by 7.35 am and i had only put it on display at 7am!!

the numbers through the door were slightly down (by 10) on the March before. However again ALL traders found the quality of the customer very good.

I loved the TM terrain guys stand with the church. I have this filmed very early in the morning for TSTV so keep an eye out for that. Also Tommy Atkins stand was great, they had part of a private collection of self painted figures of a British guy. His collection is a sum 30,000 figures and has taken over 30 years to paint!! and this guy had a fulltime job! The work was amazing and most figures were under a tenner.

I got caught in the genral business of the show then (my sandwhich bought for me at lunchtime was not eaten until 5!) so hopefully other guys as in the rest of this thread can give you more feedback about the day.

Was great to meet up with the UK Froggers. great crowd and i left them at the the table a little merry!! and then when they came back into the K&C UK room they were a little more than merry!!! Eazy just managed to ask for his tank that we held for him!! James Day time drinking is always better fun!

June is going to be a good one!

Jeff, and the rest who've posted photos and info. on this thread.....thanks so much. Especially appreciate the LL, ATS, ErrolJohn, Sarum, and etc. photos. That Zulu War gun team looks new and very nice. These give me more ideas for some gloss projects I am considering in the next 12 months or so. Sounds like y'all had a grand time so hopefully we shall see some people photos on here soon too.

Regards,
MD
