Thought I would just share some pics of various elephants from the LTSS as they are very topical !!!

The first is from auptaldetain who were from France and I believe was there first time at the show

The cost of this was c.£2500 (UK currency fluctuations at the moment impact this)

Here is the TG one which is £350. To be honest, seeing it in person the head does look a bit off. {sm4}{sm4}








Interestingly when compared to the ACE miniatures elephant (£550) the TG does not look great. The figures are similar size but the TG elephant is so much smaller.

The one from Ace and the French dealer look superb but at that price it should.

Have to mortgage the house for the French produced elephant, but stunning nevertheless. The TG against these has the price tag that's reasonable. Robin.

Hi,

The French elephant is the Aeroart Chinese Emperor Elephant made many years ago, they were quite limited in either this color or the yellow color I have. Exceptional elephant, the price is about right, but it is actually a Russian ST. Petersburg Elephant done for Aeroart.

The TG elephant should be smaller as it is an Indian elephant, the other one is an African elephant. To my eye though that ACE one looks a bit of a weird sculpt, the scale looks a little off.

that is the way the Russian Aeroart ones were done. They were standalone pieces never meant to be displayed in scenery, etc.
