Longtime visitor, first time posting. (1 Viewer)

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome.I also forgot to mention what I collect.I love anything modern,so I have bought a few things from various manufacturer's.My collection includes products from mcfarlanes military to modern Figarti as well as three modern sets Collectors showcase put out.WW2 is my other area of interest, and I have a few sets from ONWTC -ETO.I also have the winter chafee tank from K&C.My latest purchase was King and Country's 2 new paratroopers with chutes deployed.I was very excited when these were anounced, because I missed the first release similair to these titled "Geronimo".So ,As I stated in my first post,I have a rather small collection, but I still think this is a very fun and relaxing hobby. Thanks again, -Jason

Ron,

You obviously misread Jason's post. He collects WWII and the ever elusive modern figures. It don't get much cooler than that. :D

Jason,
Welcome to the forum, sounds like your favoured eras of collecting match mine. Here's hoping for more modern troops, McFarlane, Figarti or perhaps even K&C, if Andy sees the light again ;).

Cheers
Simon

Wraith,I would love to see Andy do something modern again,But it doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon.I just imagine how awesome K&C could do Rangers and Delta from Blackhawk down.I have friends who have zero interest in toy soldiers, but if a series like that were to be released,I guarantee they would buy it for a small shelf diorama.Oh well,I guess we can just keep hoping! -Jason

Jason,
Funny you should mention BHD. I'm in the process of trying to get a load of bits together to knock up a dio. Trouble is, with so little about, the scales would run from 1/48, 1/35, 1/32, 1/30 and right up to 6" McFarlanes.

That'll take some pretty well thought out forced camera perspective

I'd love to see a BHD series though. Surely a 1/30 scale Blackhawk can't be that big......

I spoke with Andy at the December London Show about more modern stuff and he said he'd like to dip back in to it, but I don't think it's on the production schedule for the forseeable future. I'm hoping Figarti bring out some more, maybe an Abrams?

It would be just over 2 ft long with a rotor diameter of just under 2 ft so the model woud occupy a 2X2 space. Sounds pretty big to me.
