Looking to buy Conte Spartans (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am new to this forum, and wanted to put it out there that I am in the market to buy Conte Spartans. Many of the figures in this line are very difficult to buy commercially, so I am trying to reach out and buy from collectors who may be looking to sell some of their figures. I am willing to pay above list price (in many cases, well above list price), and am happy to try and work out some kind of arrangement. I am not a dealer and I am not looking to resell or "flip" the figures for more money. I just appreciate Greek history, and want to build a collection. Anyone interested? Thanks for your advice and suggestions.

Bill I have several original carded sets of the plastic Conte Spartans, in gold , silver , and red...I believe that Conte is selling them for $24 per set of 7 poses ...please respond to montubob@aol.com offsite, so that I can get an idea of how many sets you are interested in buying, and get you a full number of the sets that I can sell...or you call text me at 845 268 6687.

Bill did you mean the plastic or the metal ones? Classic Toy Soldiers also has some plastic available. These were just fantastic. I so wish they'd done posable Romans too.

I've been looking to acquire some of the sets in the series for the past few years. Rarely seen. When they do appear on Ebay they fetch a high price! That's without all the costs of bringing the sets back to the UK.

Conte appears to have at least the Bronze color in plastic. Red was very popular, not sure why, but I think they're sold out.
He's probably selling what remains through his own website, and no longer wholesale to dealers.

I see some of the metal sets on ebay every once in a while.Trouble with Conte anymore is that he has a great idea for a range,takes forever to get them made,when they do come out usually it's about 20-25 sets then that's it.I was shocked when I heard he was making more Zulu War sets.I shouldn't be because the Zulu War was the biggest war in history.^&grin^&grin^&grin:smile2:Just kidding Lt.:salute:::salute::
