Can you ask for a better thread title than that???:D:D

Ok- here is what I am looking for- back in 2000 or maybe 2001, St. Pete did a stunning figure of Jesus as he was marched towards crucifiction. A really humbling yet honorable portrayal of his sacrifice. I am interested in obtaining one of these figures or perhaps will trade some of my figures for him. If you have any information as to where I may find Jesus (and yes, I know I can get find every Sunday:D) I would be much obliged.

Hi Chris,
most likely the miniature was made by Tin People, a Russian company providing high quality miniatures, both military and a lot of religous subjects.
You can find them on ebay. The ebay ID is tinpeople and their Ebay Shop is called Tin People.
Currently among other figures they have a miniature of "Jesus riding into Jerusalem". They have an email adress provided so you could inquire about the particular set you are looking for.
Happy Collecting!

Chris-
Aeroart/St. Pete. did a Jesus figure (JC) that might be the one you mention. He is standing with hands tied behind his back. It was originally released in 1995 and 76 were produced by the Arsenyev Studio according to the AeroArt book. You might give John in Gettysburg a call as he carries some of the Aeroart figures. Otherwise contact Thor Johnson at Aeroart - he might still have one or can give you a lead. I have one, but not for sell. Best of luck.

Hey fellas:

Thanks for the info. I do believe it was a ST. Pete AeroArt figure I saw though I didn't know it was released in 1995- that is interesting- especially given the low production run. I sent an email to the company I saw it at. Hopefully he is still there.

If you could provide a pic of the figure, I'd love to see him again. I was in John's store over the Labor Day weekend and we got to talking about it- I think he summed it up best when he said "That figure haunts me"- it is/was a truly remarkable figure.

I learned a very very hard lesson that day about this hobby- if you see something you want and it is truly unique- BUY IT!! :D:D

The quest continues....................

Dear CC,
I asked Thor Johnson of AeroArt St. Petersburg and Russ Salberg but both no longer had the Jesus figure.:(

The russian dealer still has this figure listed, but you would have to check with them on availability. Also, the list price is very high. They may negotiate if you want to give it a try. Good luck with that! The russian idea of pricing is a bit comical. I like their offer to reduce shipping by $1 on figures that cost several hundred dollars or more.
