Seamless transition between terrain and backdrop, excellent work Duke. You would think the way the battle panned out, the Sherman had the tracks blown out and than abandoned, but not before the crew further disabled it by dropping a grenade down the barrel. Robin.

Sounds like a good scenario Robin,and again Duke a beaut set up mate.
 
Looking at the impacts on the turret, I am not so sure the crew came out alive . But you could be right that US troops disabled the firing mechanism by blowing up the barrel.
There is one Sherman in the village of Wibrin ( Battle of The Bulge) that shows almost the same damage ( see picture) Gun barrel blown up by a grenade ,please also notice the extra steel plates welded on in the front for extra protection.However without any effect; notice the impact on the left side of the tank , the shell whent right through the extra steel plate protection
