Here are a few pictures that I thought had been lost forever:D

They feature TROPHY AZW figures with about 10 DORSET wounded Zulu’s, 3 LITTLE LEGION figures, the KINGCAST "Saving the Flag" set, one IMPERIAL figure "Zulu Chief on horse back" and a couple of figures of unknown manufacture.

The buildings are from John Gittins plus a Rorke’s Drift Storehouse also of unknown manufacture.

Martyn,
Great! I'll take the whole lot! Just box em up and ship on over, I'll reimburse you for ... labor only.:D
Is it still up, or did I recall that this was from years ago? Also, run me the story of why you asked Len to paint them grey. I keep reading stories from the men that returned to Isandlwana in May/June that the wagons were "as green as the day they were painted" I have this from Montague, and a diary of a mounted colonial. Just wondering if the Coastal Column was different.
Enjoying every post!
Mike

Those colonials were all unreconstructed liars and all round bounders. I would not believe a word of what they said.:D

Hi Damian and Mike

The display came down about 4 years ago to be replaced by K&C WW2.

Thank you for the very tempting offer Mike, good to know who your friends are, but I will have to decline:p

Ref: the colour of the wagons

I can't find the book/books that gave reference to the colour but be assured I have it somewhere, I thought the pictures had been lost forever until this afternoon so I will turn it up one of these days;). Now could some of the "green" ones be requisitioned civilian types?

Cheers

Martyn:)

That is great collection Martyn, glad you found the old pics showing it all together.

Absolutely. Over on the RDVC forum there is much discussion on that.

:)

Always,
Mike

What a great collection Martyn, glad I got to see it. Now box up those K&C figures and get those Trophy figures back on the shelves. However, you will be allowed to keep any K&C tank can on the shelf.:D

That is an option I have considered, I need to take a few pictures of the K&C sets that reside there at the moment;)

Cheers
