I'm thinking about purchasing some of the new Luftwaffe sets, but have yet to see them in person, have any of you all seen these sets yet? and if so what do you think??...Sammy

The new Luftwaffe sets are very well done. The figures have real personality, and you can set up an excellent vignette with one or more of the K&C warbirds.

Forget the Luftwaffe bring on the RAF!

Guy Gibson and his comrades have been waiting since the Decenber London show. Don't remember which Frogger took the photo but thanks.

Yes, Andy promised RAF pilots a long time ago and it's possible they will be shown in Chicago or at least I hope so.

Oh yeah, I forgot about them!:D

Really looking forward to the RAF. Perhaps some new pilots, support vehicles and aircraft! Oh yeah back to this thread. The more I look at these new Luftwaffe Field pieces the more I like them, really, really sharp. I'm definitely picking a few up. I especially like LW 018, the camo smocks, mesh helmets and details on the uniforms ( like the red insignia ) look really good.

i will like to see supporting vehicles for the luftwaffe field division sets.

maybe the FlaK 30?

thank you Sammy thats where i was thinking of putting them along side my Normandy sets looking forward to picking some up now!!

Craig.

Did a show this past weekend and these figures along with the new Hanomag were a huge hit; these figures would be perfect for a Normandy diorama as they were engaged there as ground troops as the Luftwaffe by that point was a shell of it's former self.

You could mix them in with Fallschrimjagers and do a really nice diorama of them slugging it out in the hedgerows with the allies.......................

thanks for the good tip george. :)

If you mean the new Lufwaffe infantry sets, yes, they are very nice, got a few myself last week inc. attack set, MG42, panzershrek, section leader and lying firing. Nicely posed/sculpted, and the camo nets are a good touch.

I think You could use them as part of the Hermann Goring Division which saw action in those uniforms in Sicily,Italy & probably others. The history and TO&E of this Division is quite interesting. Sometime heavy emphasis on Para`s and Flak units, sometime very heavy emphasis on Panzers, and all points in between.

thats interesting so could you put them with the mediterranean fallschirmjagers? really getting into my sicily & italy campaigns at the moment!!! can anyone recommend any good books about these campaigns & for that matter the north africa campaign aswell?

One part of the Hermann Goring Division fought with the AK in Tunis as I recall, but I think their uniforms would have been Tropical, rather than the uniforms used during the Crete Airborne Operaton.
