Lynx is here pt 2!! (1 Viewer)

We need some new winter bases Simon for the June show - if you were not likely to be so inundated with work following the release of these pictures we could have placed a major order with you!
:) :) :) :)
FYI winter version has nearly all sold out now - been the best seller by far!

Sorry Blake,I'd love to help but I've been rushed off my feet sense the release of my scenic base. The phone's hardly stopped ringing with enquiries and potential orders. :D

Why thank you Rob. I would do a photographic 'how-to' for this particular dio, but I fear the complexity would overload the forum's capability. :)

What is the story on the Afrika Korps Lynx? Is that available?

It was marketed as a Sand Yellow, rather than an AK Lynx. I don't think the Lynx was produced until late 1943 and then saw service in the ETO and on the Western Front. It's not going to stop me displaying it with other AK veicles mind.

The sand yellow version was released as a club special and only 10 are done in this colour scheme (vs 99 in each of the other 3 colour scheme). As such, I believe all 10 were sold within about 23 seconds of being announced.

They are cracking little tanks and I would thouroughly recommend getting one.

Simon

Yes i was lucky enough to win a sand coloured version and will definetly be displaying it with my AK stuff. It will look good with the other recon vehicles.

Rob

I had the good fortune to be able to get one of the ten SE today.

As I had already ordered the urban camo, I am now dealing with the idea of buying the two other camos and display the four models side-by-side.

I really love the fact that NMA is producing their models in such low numbers.

Pierre.

I must say that appeals to me too.I really like the Lynx, maybe tempted to pick up another one at the show in June.

Also at a great price for the craftmanship you receive. Really great stuff.

I got my sand version Lynx in the post today. It was a great thing to come home to after a bad day at work.
What can i say? For £40 it's an absolute bargain. It looks great, it has some nice detail and there are only 10 in the world! What more can a geek ask for?

Also if you ever need to defend yourself against attack just use the antenna that comes with it. It gets the award for the sharpest aerial yet made! :)
My finger got jabbed in testing how sharp it was! I've left it in the box now.

Can't wait to receive mine. I am very lucky to get one at 40 pounds.

Pierre.

Hey James, you are right about the Antenna, very sharp indeed.I love this little beast. Its rapidly becoming part of my AK Recon squad.Even the wife thinks its "sweet"!:)

Rob

Desert Sand Puma next? I'm picturing a whole N. Africa recon. thing going on here. :)

Simon

Yep i'm thinking the puma could fit right in.:)

Rob

Good idea on the recon scene. The Lynx, The 232. the Puma, the K&C 222, and the Opel Blitz lorry with the MG team and Mortar team dismounted, throw in the desert demag too!

Could be a cool scene.

Maybe add some Camels and the Storch, this scene is growing!

Rob

Yep this is no Recon outfit it's an offensive to drive the 8th Army and their Vickers MK 1 out of Africa :)
