M26 Pershing (1 Viewer)

Yep. That's the way the new ones are painted. What a waste.
I just received an M26 and the color was too dark. I think the problem is the current iteration is painted in the very dark green used in Korea; where the earlier version was a true Olive Drab. I just dry brushed mine with an Olive Drab which corrected the problem.

I also discovered something very interesting. I thought the M26 looked larger than it should sitting next to other tanks; so I measured it. A Pershing is 138 inches wide per Osprey New Vanguarg# 35 and other sources I checked. The 1/32 Unimax model measures 4.5 inche wide. 138/4.5=30.6 or 1/30 scale. Good news if you collect 1/30 scale; not so good if you collect 1/32.
Has anyone else measured this scale discrepancy in Unimax WWII models?

I buy FoV because compared to other manufacturers they are cheap and give you value for money. However I re-paint and weather all of my FoV vehicles and tanks so that they are up to the standard I require for my dios.
