Hi Brian,

Very excited to receive the tank from my dealer in US today but it looks like
the track issue is still there :redface2: . So I'm kind of disappointed as this is
the first time it happened for me as I purchased quite a few CS tanks in the past

My tank came through fine. Must be a problem with a certain lot. Problem should have been found during the factory quality control process...Michael

Its a shame those things never happen on the under side of the track or, where the chassis would cover it. Its always in open view. I am sure Brian will sort it out for you though

After reading about the tread problems here, I checked the treads on my "In the Mood" that arrived two days ago and found that the edge of the left bottom tread below the driver's hatch is broken off, one of the horizontal "ribs" is partly chipped off below the left fender, and some of the tread sections are not painted silver.

What's the best way to deal with this---let Brian reply here or call CS toll-free in Austin, TX?

Looks to me as though you are missing a hull machine gun also....In my 12 years of collecting i have only had 2 items that arrived damaged in the box...(not CS)...The manufacturer or my dealer sorted it out on both counts!!...Good luck.

The bow machine gun comes in a separate wrap. You have to insert it.

I got mine a week ago and I had not opened it yet so when I read this I checked mine out. It is fine and a very nice piece.

Some one had mentioned it was inaccurate, what was the final outcome on that ? Alex

From what I read, Brian said his tank was historically correct and the collector said the rear portion of the tank was not. Seems to me like a nice piece.

The CS piece is very nice looking, but the issue with the rear of the upper hull seems to be there on production models. As demonstrated by the photos in the earlier thread, the hull should NOT be "cut away" on the upper rear - this was a feature of earlier M4A1 tanks that did not carry over to the M4A1 76mm versions. He can't even say it was a production variation as all the M4A1 76mm tanks came from Pressed Steel Car Company. Simple basic research error. Otherwise it's a nice looking tank and a tribute to a great American soldier and his crew.
