NJJA, my posting was just a thought (spears were not involved). In fact, you may want to re-read my post and the real message that was contained within was that I was thanking Brad cause its free information for which he charges a fee.

Jazzeum hasn't got any back stabs from me because I'm an up front type of guy. If I feel strongly enough about a post or thread I will make a response no matter who it is and then move on to the next subject. I don't hold grudges but there are certain aspects about eBay that I do not like such as high 'Buy It Now' prices, no matter who the seller is. I don't consider any forum member to be my "arch nemesis" and if a person feels that way I suggest that it is only in their mind, over which I have no control.

I had sold a few of the lists on ebay and if anybody wants one, they know where to find me. However, it's more of a labor of love so if anybody wants to know any particular prices, I'm certainly not going to charge them before I give them an answer.

Back to the units, you are quite right that Andy did a bit of a "goof" in using the 3rd Infantry Division on "DDay" figures. Note the mortar team, and the two infantry patrols are among the troops depicted in 3rd ID markings. The 3rd never served in the armies in Normandy, but DID see very extensive combat in North Africa, Sicily, Italy (including Anzio), and served with the Seventh Army in the invasion of Southern France and the drive into Germany. The GIs so marked are some of the nicest ones that Andy has done, so we are left with 1) ignore it, 2) "repatch" your figures with paint or decals (goodbye collector value), 3) display them seperately as in combat in the Vosges Mountains or some other Seventh Army campaign.

I agee that in the interest of historical accuacy the 3rd Infantry Division should not have been part of the D-Day series. BTW, the 3rd Infantry Division was stationed in West Germany when I was there in 1963-64 and was a part of the 5th Corps, 7th Army.

Not too good. I managed to find one one my own but without Louis' help I wouldn't have the two that I had posted pictures of awhile ago. Even if I don't get any more, I'll be quite happy with the ones I have.
