Mad Max: Fury Road (also known as Mad Max 4: Fury Road or simply Mad Max 4), the fourth film of the franchise, is an upcoming Australian post-apocalyptic action film co-written and directed by George Miller.

I was always a fan of George Miller and the Mad Max series...this one looks pretty wild...

Hopefully they haven't gone over the top with the special effects.

That's pretty standard today, usually spoil it by trying to be bigger and better than the last film, resulting in over the top unrealistic scenes. Let's hope it has not fallen into this trap. Looking forward to it. Robin.

Wayne...

did you watch the trailer...^&grin

not much dialog...

just special effects...

but for Mad Max...that's okay with me...

they should give Mel a cameo at least...

Yeah mate enjoyed it thoroughly.

NO NO NO he isn't the Mel Gibson we all once knew he has lost the plot in my books ^&grin^&grin

Saw it today.

I can recommend it but I know my wife wont be recommending it to her friends^&grin.

One long action filled truck chase. Charleze Theron probably going to pick up some MTV type award for best action female in a movie.

If you like action and lots of cars and bikes crashing then wont be disappointed

Yep, saw it to day, quite liked it. No script, no need to Learn lines for the actors, continuous action, looked real action, not too much CGI, might be better in 3d, but still ok. I would recommend it. The machines and bikes crazy, but this is mad max after all. Robin.

The Wiki entry is quite an interesting read although does contain the plot outline. Was a long time in the making with lots of delays.

They used Cirque de Soleil acrobats and Olympic athletes amongst the 150 stunt men.

Miller has said possibly two more films and Hardy contracted for four more.

Will be interesting to see how does in box office.

I will watch it this weekend but it will be hard to beat the original

I give them credit for getting right to the action. This was basically "Road Warrior" on steroids. It ripped off a lot of elements from that movie but without capturing any of the character development. I might be getting old, but Mad Max and Road Warrior were superior to this one. I liked the dark edginess of Mel Gibson's character and the graphic novel feel of those movies. This was basically just an action movie. It's still a very good popcorn movie, but I won't be watching it twice.

I agree entirely with your assessment

Rented this today an was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was. Enjoyed the action, not much to puzzle out on the character or plot side of things. Liked all the weird vehicles and some could come in handy during a DC rush hour.:rolleyes2: Gotta love the main bad-guy and the vehicle with the kettle drums and guitarist. Also liked the visual effects of the giant sand storm. Good entertainment. -- Al
