Hi,

I've been looking for various toy soldier/model figures of the Marquis de LaFayette. I know (and have) Britains' metal figure (along with Rochambeau and Washington) and I believe Mokarex made a figure.. I would imagine there are others - any help on other sources?

Thx,

Jim

Hi, Jim, the old kit figure maker Vallance had a figure of Lafayette in their cataloge, paired with Washington for display. Also, the Franklin Mint included a figure of Lafayette in their Yorktown series. Those were both in 54mm.

I don't know for sure, but New Hope Miniatures may also have had a figure of Lafayette in their Men at Arms series (based on Osprey's books).

I just checked at their website, and Imrie-Risley did not produce a figure of Lafayette, which surprised me, but they only produced figures of Washington. Neither did Stadden, though he, too, produced a figure of Washington.

Hope that helps, prosit!

Brad,

Thx for the info! This helps and is a good start.. I searched on the internet after getting your reply.. Found the Vallance figure - but so far, not the others.. Hopefully there are more - perhaps some European companies..

Regards,

Jim

I recieved an email n from Tradition of London last night, saying the latest set they have released is American Generals of the American War of Independance.

AND one of the figures is General Lafayette

The set is #250 and comprises Officer holding spontoon, General Lafayette, General Nathaniel Greene, George Washington, Officer holding map and Camp fire and available as the set or single painted figures or castings.
