The nearest thing I got to "Adventure Training" was laying new track at the Bluebell Railway near Brighton! Travel the world, visit exotic locations and sweep them!!:salute::
Don't tell me you wouldn't do it all over again!

Well................ A few years ago, I was in Cape Town, and spotted a yacht in the harbour, flying a pennant - with a Jimmy on it!
Intrigued and somewhat mystified - I ambled over and had a chat with one of the crew members - who turned out to be a Rupert - and was coiling a rope, or belaying his thwarts - or something. Chatted for a bit - and found out that it WAS a Royal Signals boat, going on a round the World sail - where members of the Sigs were invited to apply for some of the "stretches" covered over the trip. Something to do with Leadership - (in other words - A Jolly!).
NOW........IF you could guarantee me a place........then YES, I would sign up for a short tour.
By the way........despite me being a member of The Royal Signals Association.............he wouldn't take me! Ruperts!!!!!!! jb
