Lets try to keep this thread to the point and to the Manufacturer, and not debate with each other. If our opinions differ, let the manufacturer sort it out, and take the best course of action to rectify the complaint, as they see fit. Lets keep it relatively contemporary regarding new and recent releases. Older stuff may have certain inadequates, but we will not address that. Unless it is a reoccurring complaint like K&C's treads.

WWII ONLY PLEASE...........................

K&C - Fix your treads, I am not going to suggest to them to weather their Vehicles and Figures, because that is more of a personal opinion.

HB - I can't put my finger on it, but the figures need a little improving. Maybe someone can take it further

Conte - Only speaking about the new Airborne stuff, The Uniforms are good and figure positions unique, but the faces look like Gargoyles. The new D Day stuff is an excellent concept, but the faces also look bad. I guess they don't participate in this Forum anyway

Britians - I don't have any of their new stuff

ONWTC - I don't have any of their new stuff

NMA - I don't have any of their new stuff

Forgot.....Make the figure bases removable. I think this is going to be my personal thread......Cool....................Firebat

;) I would like to see K&C stop making drivers unable to be removed from the vehicle.

Indeed. The K&C-treads need a little upgrading, but it only started to disturb when mentioned on this forum  . So no real problem there.

I can't speak for the rest...

See you were made more aware by non biased critiquing and you have enhanced your hobby experience.:)

Welcome to my thread, here you will experience non politically or financially motivated critiques of products. There will be no discussion here, just non biased evaluation of products from various manufacturers. I hope to expand to non biased reviews, as I am not affiliated with any Manufacturer. It will be like a Consumers Report section. I will monitor it for bias, or until I get shut down. If you have been reading various threads lately, with all of the products out there the wallets are tightening. You can be sure the manufacturers will be paying close attention. The way this is set up, I am confident we can present a clear picture to the Manufacturers, as those with agendas will not participate, because it will not be politically correct for them to cooperate with anything I do. I am out for our best interest.

A clarification to King and Country. As much as I seem to have some negative statements to say about your products, is because the caliber of your work is so outstanding, that I personally hold you to a higher standard, you hands down make the best figures available. I really only have a problem with the treads on your armor, it is not a huge problem, but a minor reworking of the treads would make your armor flawless, so why not do it.

Also there has been some accuracy discussions, the flag (Again no big deal) and recently some comments I made about the M8 set. This is a long story, maybe I can explain it this way. If your D Day series included some of the Divisions that actually landed on Normandy like the 29th, 1st or 4th they would have blended better with the 101st, 82nd and the Rangers. Most of the Forum members don't seem to care. But if you did it that way then us diorama builders and scale modelers would be happier, therefore everybody would be happy. I am looking forward to you taking this hobby to the next level in the near future, and I know you will. Alex

Frontline worst horses for connoisseur figures ever. Gumby has a new friend:p

Gee, as someone who made his own toy solders in the 1950s out of used popscycle sticks, I apparently have lower standards than you. I am very happy to have over 1,000 Frontline Figures on display including about 100 cavalry (Napoleonic, Civil War, and Crimean War). Take a look at the Confederate artillery connoisseur mounted officer---I think the horse looks great. Their website is www.frontline-figures.com.

Mike, I agree.I like my Napoleonic Cavalry { must have close to 100 French and British Cavalry} some ACW and several limber and cannon sets including the Napoleonic RHA 6 horse set and the Standing ACW Union 6 horse set.I like them just fine.
Of course the KC Scot's Greys and Empress Dragoons in my collection are probably overall better, actually stunning, I think the Frontline are darn good.
To each his own.I can't think of any other manufacturer that makes decent Napoleonic Cavalry besides these two.

Conte - QUIT the endless prototype photos and empty promises and PRODUCE SOMETHING!!!! Lots of great photos of WW2 GI "preproduction" figures that are squirelly away between Richard and his webmaster. How about letting the rest of us in on the fun?????

21C - OK, are we making airplanes or tanks? ALL the R&D has gone to the planes (1:18 and 1:32). Fine products, but how about remebering the loyal armor customers? The promise of an M7 is fine, but let's DELIVER the darned things ASAP!!! Produce that Dodge truck you showed a prototype of years ago. FIX YOUR 1:32 SHERMAN! (The front 1/3 of the hull is awful)

FoV - OK, nice 88 and the 105 howitzer should be here soon. What's next? Let's not get all Nazi stuff - remember the Allies!

ONTC - OK, you sold the first GI rights to Conte, but nothing has followed since. Why?

TSSD - Again, many areas of effort, but no coordination with previous sets. We are left with eight figures per series. No more new series' until you go back and add to the previous ones, please!

K&C - don't just use Tamiya plastic models for your research - many are seriously flawed efforts!

Any other 1/30th companies - enough godless SS tropers, how about some more GIs and Tommies? If you have to produce Nazi stuff, let's remember that Panthers and Tigers made up a small fraction of German vehicles. Panther tanks are like string - every yo-yo has one!

Any and all - how about a US CCKW 2 1/2 ton 6X6 in 1/32nd scale? This war-winning truck has appeared in all other scales except 54mm/1/32.

Thanks for the opportunity to rant.

Gary

I completely agree with Firebat (gasp!!) about K&C armor. I never liked polystone as a medium for tracked vehicles, but Honour Bound and Figarti have shown that with the right brass and other metal detail pieces, and well done bogie wheels and tracks, the tanks can live up to the quality of the soldiers sold with them. So come on Andy, pick it up! I will be so embarassed if the K&C vehicle comes in last at the Chicago Show competition.

:) This is directed a no one in particular ..............Just a reminder to everyone............. direct your observations and suggestions to the Manufacturers where it will do most good.
