RS076A: General 'Skinny' Wainwright
On Sept. 2 1945, Army Lt. Gen. Jonathan Wainwright, a Medal of Honor recipient, was among the few U.S. military leaders aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay when Japan signed the surrender documents ending World War II.
The Philippines fell to the Japanese on April 9 1942, but Wainwright and thousands of others survived and escaped to Corregidor, the last Allied stronghold in the island chain. There they hid and dodged air bombardments for another month, determined to fight to the last man if necessary. Wainwright finally surrendered after receiving orders from higher above, to the Japanese on May 6 1942.
Three years and three months later in August 1945, Wainwright was released from a liberated prisoner-of-war camp. Two weeks later he stood behind MacArthur on the USS Missouri when the general signed the Japanese surrender documents.

RS079A: General Percival the commander of the British forces at Singapore when the garrison surrendered on 15th February 1942.
Along with the other senior British captives above the rank of colonel, Percival was removed from Singapore in August 1942. First he was imprisoned in Formosa and then sent on to Manchuria, where he was held with several dozen other VIP captives, including the American General Jonathan Wainwright in a prisoner-of-war camp near Hsian, about 100 miles (160 km) to the north east of Mukden.

As the war drew to an end, an OSS team removed the prisoners from Hsian. Percival was then taken along with Wainwright to stand immediately behind General Douglas MacArthur, as he confirmed the terms of the Japanese surrender aboard USS Missouri (BB-63) in Tokyo Bay on 2 September 1945.

The A version comes with a round base and can be used as a high ranking British/Commonwealth officer with our Japanese surrender at Morotai and B version as Percival with rectangular wood effect base for the USS Missouri dio.

At the end of WW2 when the Japanese finally surrendered, the official ceremony was carried out in Tokyo Bay onboard the USS Missouri. Our first figures release includes General's Macarthur, Wainwright and Percival, with the Australian contingent of Blamey not far behind. Most of the Japanese delegation will follow next month. The wooden deck mat will be available next month, it measures 24cm by 20cm and costs £20/$30, if of interest please place your order now as we are only making one limited run of these mats.

The Zulu War

At least 6 new Zulus on the way soon, another 4 hopefully before end of the year, if we get all 10 out that would be pretty good for us. Working on it as fast as we can but its quite a task these days keeping up with everything.
Not complaining ............ just saying.

I find it very annoying that only two have been release this month.
If all three had been released, then they would have qualified for free postage.
Now if I want them and the one next month (I’m assuming), I will be charged postage twice. So that’s another £15
The same happened with some of the Boer war figures.
It feels like it’s done on purpose so you don't get free postage.

Its only done like this so collectors do not feel swamped with all the releases at once, we are very happy to hold orders until an order qualifies for free postage.

If you look to the South West there are thousands of em.

Good to see TG will have 10 new Zulus out, potentially, in 2021.

Just waiting on the new weapons to be finished for these figures, there will be a 30 cal gunner with the next set plus a couple of other new weapons we have not made before.
Later in the year we will see a couple of vehicles and fighting figure sets.
