ACCPAK 039 Matilda Tank

The long awaited Australian version of our Matilda. The Matilda was the only Allied tank to see service for the duration of WW2, from 1939 right through to 1945. It was designed as a heavy armour infantry support vehicle and provided much needed firepower for our boys on the ground.
This 1/30 scale model is admittedly more expensive than our previous German tanks, but it does come with 4 crew members and has another 20 additional parts compared to our Panzer 3.
All of these things add to the manufacturing cost.
As such we only have 30 of each version available at present, the B and C versions (Ace and Ale) will follow shortly. If the demand is there we will make more.
Please note that this is not a typical price for our armour going forward, its just that this particular model was complicated to assemble and has more than the regular crew members normally supplied. When one compares it to the cost of other armour available elsewhere we feel we still compare very favourably.

The 'A' Version 'Apache' includes 4 tank crew with berets and bush hats that you can alternate as you wish - priced at $310.00 / £285.00

D Version - includes 3 tank crew and decals to add as you wish. The 2 drivers wear headdress, the commander does not. You can make another version of 'Apache' with the decals supplied or source your own decals and make a version of your own choice.
The red lined fording markings have been added to all our Matilda as these were difficult to apply and were found on most Australian Matilda's, therefore we applied this end at the factory. to save any hassle your end - priced at $299.00 / £275.00

ROM137 Germanicus

Germanicus was the adopted son of the emperor Tiberius, he married Agrippina who was the mother of Caligula a future Roman emperor and Julia Agrippina who gave birth to Nero another future emperor. Germanicus was an outstanding general who quelled several rebellions in Germany, he later went on to become Consul.
It is suspected he was poisoned on the orders of a jealous Tiberius, had he lived longer he would have probably gone on to become one of Rome's most venerated emperor's.

Priced at $59.00 / £54.50

ROM136 Thusnelda

Thusnelda was the daughter of Segestes and the wife of Arminius who had led the revolt against the Romans leading to the massacre in the Teutoburg forest.

According to local folk lore Arminius had abducted Thusnelda from her fathers camp (who he had been in a long running dispute with), forced her to become his wife and also made her pregnant at the same time. Approximately a year after this event Thusnelda had managed to return to her fathers camp. Unfortunately for her the Roman General Germanicus was at her fathers camp and when he learned of her relationship with Arminius, took her back to Rome with him in triumph. When Thusnelda's son Thumelicus came of age, he was inducted into the Roman gladiator school and was killed in combat, the Romans finally had their revenge over Arminius.

Arminius was apparently distraught at the loss of his wife and son and never remarried. He himself was assassinated a few years later by members of his own tribe who felt he was becoming too powerful.

Our depiction of Thusnelda with a Roman sentry comes in the normal 3 shield versions and depicts her just after her capture and being made to kneel before Germanicus. A command tent and accessories will follow shortly to further enhance this diorama.

Limited to 80/30/30 of each version

Dear All

Welcome to our March release.
As many of you will be aware the cost of freight which has now doubled is still having an impact on us all, not only that manufacturing costs have risen in China thanks to Covid, the gift that keeps on giving. We have taken measures here to lower costs which will take effect shortly, but in the meantime we price all our products as realistically as we can to ensure our future long term survival. Some have risen in price, others are still the same.
Following on from this there have been major shut downs in China where our factories are located, once again due to Covid. This means its unlikely we will have an April release but we will do our best not to disappoint. In the meantime we thank you for your support in what are very difficult times.

The good news is that all of these new sets are available on our website and available for dispatch now. We are about to revamp our website as we have had a few issues with it, if you cannot place an order via the website, just drop us an email and we will process it manually.

Starting off in historical sequence this month will be the Egyptians followed by the Romans etc etc and ending with Indochina and some great looking diorama mats.

Nice variety of figures from multiple eras.

The Matilda looks great. Are either of the B or C versions set for the jungle (or) guessing desert and European versions?
Nice to see the new Egypt and Rome pieces. Esp. like Thusnelda with Roman Sentry. That command tent sounds like an interesting piece.
In re. to the mats, while I love the new ancient patterns, must admit that I would like to see these larger for more "play value".
I'm sure many will love the new "Fab Four" Indochina figures. Those camo combos are fantastic.

With all the challenges bringing these to the market, really appreciate TG's efforts. Thanks! :salute::

Edit: Oh, and thanks for the revised images of the German Weapons Set. Nice little accessory set.

The four Legionnaires on our new mat (mat038) Please note that this is the smaller of the two new Jungle Mats.

Many thanks

The Matilda looks great. It will be hard to resist.

I like that TG makes female figures, although the ones done so far are not for me. Perhaps TG will be the first to produce female Pict warriors? They could be worked right into the Roman range. That would really be fantastic with TG's top sculpting and painting skills.

Joe

The Matilda looks awesome! I have some TGM Aussies already plus a JJD RAAF Spitfire, so I think the Matilda will fit right in with my collection 😉

Thats a nice idea Joe, always had a soft spot for Keira Knightley in her rendition of a Pict warrior!
