Yeah, I watch March or Die every chance I get. Sorry about the lighting, and unfinished attic,
and dark photos, but you'll get the idea. I'm not a wargammer, I just like collecting, building, painting, and
and setting them up.

Tim, that is a great collection. What scale are those - 54MM?

I have FFL in 28mm. Haven't got around to wargaming with them yet though.

Thanks,

It was always something I just wanted to do, and it involved exactly 100 FFL figures, all 54mm, most are Britains Deetail,
others are DSG Britains, and a few Thomas Gunn figures, Forces of Valor sandbags and Britains Tents.

I also have 28mm, about 800 FFL and Bedouins plus a fort I built to go with it, I just need the space to put it up.

Thanks for the interest
Tim

Those 28mm figures sounds like a great project.I collected 28mm FFL once.I regret selling them as they were excellent figures. They were Unfeasibly Miniatures Exotic line. They aren't being made anymore which is a shame.

I dont think I ever heard of that manufacturer so I looked them up. I think they closed up in 2009, they had a lot of really sharp looking figures. Some look great like the Tuareq's but other seem off scale to me, heads and hands maybe just a bit too big,
I have noticed that with Sterelets , and I just cant get past it. Then other figures look dead on for scale. I'll keep my eye open for them , hopefully I can stumble on to a few.
Thanks
Tim

I got them from Black Hat Miniatures who sold them for a number of years and then I think the contract ran out between them. The guy who owns BHM is on this forum. I have to disagree with you on the size as I didn't think the heads and hands were too big but that is just my opinion.Maybe the photos distort them a little. This is BHM website but he won't be able to help you. https://www.blackhat.co.uk/ He is on this forum as Imperial Miniatures

Thanks for the heads up, its seems to be a grove I'm in, all I seem to do is chase down figures from companys that are no longer in business, but that appears to
be half the fun of it, the hunt itself.
Thanks
Tim

Britains Deetail FFL and Arabs. The benchmark of plastic toy soldiers and the stuff of my childhood dreams

Some other great films that have the FFL in great shape and can give us great ideas are:
Beau Geste, both the original but also the remake made 1982 starrring Benedict Taylor, Jonathon Morris and Athony Calf...this more modern remake of the original Beau Geste has more accuracy to weapons and uniforms, and them there is Legionnaire with Jean Claude Van Damme...great move, the Legion pictured is the 1920s one so losts of changes in weapons and uniforms....great historical accuracy to the picture and no martial arts..so you can see without fear it is one of those regular Van Damme movies :D:D:D
