Duitsekampweg – September 18, 1944. AFPU’s Sgt Mike Lewis took this picture of Recce Troopers Des Evans, Jimmy Cook (PIAT) and Fred Brawn (Bren) in their defensive positions near a railroad crossing for the Deelen Airfield, which branched off the Wolfheze station.

This photo appeared in many books about Arnhem and eventually became the book cover for ‘With Recce at Arnhem: The Recollections of Trooper Des Evans’ by Mike Gallagher. -- Alex

Excellent photo mate was considering having a scene depicting this photo in my duo whenni set it up!

Bravo!😁

You did a great job in recreating this iconic photo of British paras in Arnhem!

Great effort on recreating this well known photo .
some constructive comments: Your diorama feels a bit empty, put a few more trees in the background and foreground to fill this diorama.
Every square inch has to tell a story , that is how I do it.
"Imagination" is not forbidden even when you recreate an authentic scene . Put one or two extra paras in the scene . A para has taken this picture ( 1 extra man)and I am sure there were more on the scene. One crossing the road is another possibility.
but again, well done
Guy:)
