Just a trial photo to see if I can discover the Rosetta Stone for converting to acceptable image size for the new format on the Forum.IMG_2913 copy.JPG Apparently it's going to work.

Hi Mitch,
You have readily identified one of the many reasons why the command! As a retired weapon systems engineer, and with my limited knowledge of the PIAT, it has been stated that it often had the potential of achieving a Pk (Kill probability) of 2.0, i.e. the intended target plus the shooter. Propulsive charge residual on a reciprocal course to the projectile.
Regards,
Jim

Always nice to see a MG diorama. Good stuff, thanks for sharing. You know I don't know if its just the picture but the footsloggers beret's look maroon and the jeep riders berets look scarlet red.

Hi CFM,
You are absolutely correct, and I have mentioned this in a couple of other previous posts. In each of the 3 jeeps of the Market-Garden Series all of the "red berets" are not maroon, as they should be. This was not the case in the original Arnhem '44 Series, where all of the berets were correct. Please see attachment for correct color.

Hi uksubs,
Absolutely correct. If you happen to review several of my past posts you will find a detailed discussion on specifically that issue, as well as several others regarding the Market Garden Series (and others). Believe it or not I debated for some time whether to purchase the "Recce Jeep", knowing in detail all the inaccuracies. If you think the jeep has problems, take a look at the research I brought to bear on the "Airborne 6 Pdr AT Gun". Particularly compare wheel base width, extensive modification of gun carriage/shield and hinged trails of correct airborne configuration, all done to fit in an Airspeed AS 51 Horsa Assault Glider. The jeep is at least in the correct configuration for what the SAS used in Italy. I'm keeping it because I made the mistake of passing up several of the Arnhem '44 Series sets because of glaring inaccuracies which in retrospect apparently didn't diminish the series' popularity, i.e. value.
Regards,
Arnhemjim
