Thank you, sir for the compliment, Gendarme. What I did not expect was for it to last precisely one hour before selling! --And in the middle of my night, at that.I guess waterfalls are an idea. I've only done one before, not counting a little trickle stream one.

Thats really a spectacular model. Congrats on the quick sale! Maybe you can make your models so they can be lifted off the wood base. This would allow your customers to either display a small scene or link them together to make a larger diorama. Maybe providing some more flex in display options would give your models a further bump?

Just an idea.

Actually, it's not a wood base. It's framed and it could be removed. However, in my opinion, it probably would not look as nice and might need a little touching up if it was. I had never really thought much of it. Yours is only the second comment about linking them in all the ones I've built. Now, I have to wonder how many have thought it and have not expressed it. However, the frame is part of how I can insure the safest packaging. It acts as the bottom to a cardboard sleeve in shipping. A box in a box, so to speak and it seriously makes shipping safer and more practical. I will have to think about it.

Also, this one will probably re-list shortly. The buyer refused to pay in a manner I will accept for international sales and turns out to have a bad habit of doing this to sellers in general. Sad, he's been a good repeat customer up until now.

Now, I have to wonder how many have thought it and have not expressed it.

You never know. Maybe, during your next auction cycle, you can show several similar themed bases assembled together and then show the one for sale on the base.

Your work is truly magnificent and the more you show option/display wise, the less your customer has to think about it. The less they have to think and the more they see visually might get them thinking in other ways. Does that make sense? Har to put into words.

When I had my store, people bought one set thinking about the entire shelf. When they eventually got hold of the entire shelf, they wanted the case, then when they got the case, you get the idea.

When the time comes, I hope I can order a number of these bases from you.
