Hi Guys,
After seeing Zach’s terrific ‘Bassingbourn’ diorama it reminded me of another great airfield dio my late brother, Gordon, built back around the early ‘teens… 2013-2015 for the ‘West Coaster Show’.
If I remember correctly it measured 6’ x 4’ in 2 x sections.
Here you can see the airfield ‘hosting’ some U.S. Army Air Force aircraft and airmen plus vehicles.
Under Royal Air Force control the airfield now ‘hosts’ Handley Page Halifaxes and Vickers Wellingtons.
Boy, did we have fun building major dioramas like this and then populating them with our own K&C figures, vehicles and other bits ‘n; bobs.

This really is the top of our 'art'. Dioramas don't get better than this do they? If only I had the space and talent. But in the absence of these attributes I will just gaze at the photos and dream.
