Very nice! With three companies, I think we now have a new big genre for the industry! I am actually very impressed with Frontline's figures, which is a bit surprising, but they are VERY nice!

The Prussians are spectacular. I started collecting Frontline's 7 Years War line in March---they too are impressive, but on a different level regarding sculpts, painting, and price.

No, Gebhard, who is it? I can't tell.

Hi Brad ,
They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here are 5000 and 1 to help you out :wink2: didn't know he was a musician as well but there he is playing his favorite Corsian drum^&grin . Oh and by the way that would be
Blücher regards Gebhard

Gebhard,

Thank you for answering the question as I know little about the Napoleonic Wars and don't have much interest either. However, we could have done without your condescension. A simple reply would have been sufficient. If you or anyone else had asked a question about someone from the American Civil War or the Spanish Civil War or some period that I knew about I would have just answered the question and not implied what an idiot he was.

And I wouldn't have done it by cutting and pasting photos from Google. When people have expert knowledge of an era like you do, It's nice they share. :smile2:

The new Hungarians are also very nice- my grandfather being from said nation, I think I will get a set.

Sorry Brad if you felt that had a condesending tone it wasn't meant that way but you must see it through my eyes I have been going on about getting a Blücher figure for years now and I thought everyone had already known that image on the FL site was the culmination of mine and some others hard work of politicking Matt and wishing and wishing . You must also understand In my World that would be akin for you if someone seeing a mounted Abe Lincoln figure and asking who is that George Washington , I really thought you were having a joke with me . I hope I didn't hurt your feelings that was not my intension . Regards Gebhard

Terry ,
This really has nothing to do with you but if you feel the need to take a shot at me that's fine . I'm sure it has more to do with your hatred of my mate Mr H then me or anything i've done to you but like I say that's fine . and Terry just for the record those images are from my collection on Photobucket and yes I'd say some are lifted from a Google photo search but what that has anything to do with my comment to Brad is something only you know . Gebhard

Hi Guys ,
Lets get back to this wonderful annoucement from First Legion , I know there has to be some guys who have been hoping for and dreading this day like I have . Calvary anyone , hey and I don't think I lifted this image from google :wink2: . I wonder what my Kamerad the Baron ( Brad ) will think... I know he also love this period ..Regards Gebhard

If someone had asked if Washington was Lincoln it would have been obvious that the person really knew nothing about 18th-19th Century American history and I would have politely explained who and who was. Similarly, it should have been obvious when I asked the question that I knew little about a conflict that you feel passionate about. It's apparent we approach dealing with people differently. At any rate, my feelings were not at all hurt.

As far as Terry's comment I felt it was in line while your commentary was not.

I really don't have time for the drama , if you wanna drag this on fine . I really won't be weighed down with the back and forth that ends nowhere and adds nothing to the discussion on what should be a celebration about these wonderful figures depicting the Seven Years War . If you have something to add about this new line I'm all ears otherwise I'm done .. Gebhard

I didn't start this little drama Johann ^&confuse. I asked a simple question; as indicated, a simple answer would have been sufficient.

Getting back to the figure announcement, I have a question on the colours. Are the two flag bearers carrying colours specific to the 7th Prussian Regiment or are the colours more generic for all Braousschweig units? Or are they one of each, i.e., did the Prussians do the same as the British and carry one national colour and a regimental colour? I'm afraid I'm not too up on the European units of the Seven Years War....
