The Korean War

The Foreign Legion Revisited!


It's been a while since we released our original Foreign Legion figures, so this month we have a special release of two new figures for the collectors of this series. Hopefully this will be a pleasant surprise for many of you.
These two figures are a quantum leap forward in quality with the painting visibly improved. If the take up is good on these two new figures, we will release some captive Arabs to go with them and some Legion patrol type figures.

Slavery was very much a normal part of the ancient world, with traders from all over the known world converging on Rome to sell their captives to an affluent clientele.


In a series that will represent every day life in Rome we plan to release figures focusing around a market scene, in it will be humans and animals for sale. There will also be Roman civilians to complement the series. This will give us an opportunity to introduce a variety of different figures we could not normally place in a battlefield setting. There will be a podium and two Arab traders as the centre piece for this series with some unlucky captives about to be sold onto the open and very buoyant slave market.


The first addition to our market series for the Romans, features an apprehensive kneeling blonde about to be sold off to a Roman family.

Dear all, welcome to our May 2022 figures newsletter featuring a new selection of our latest figures. Starting off in historical sequence we have a new series 'Myths, Legends and Biblical (MLB) which is going to take TG into a whole new era of figure production.


Our first release is a classic in the form of Medusa, Greek mythology tells us that Medusa was one of three Gorgons sired by Phorcys and Ceto. Medusa was the deadliest of the sisters with snakes in her hair and the ability to turn men into stone simply by looking at them. Legend has it she was eventually killed by Perseus who used a reflective shield to protect himself from her gaze and behead her.
In our variant we have Medusa repelling an assailant with her gaze, who is being turned to stone as he runs towards her.


Following on from Medusa we have Eve (without Adam) and Rapunzel, these will be here later in the year as well as Mata Hari. Further down the line we will have Diana the goddess of hunting and Helen of Troy which are now entering the sculpt stage.

The Warbirds should be here end of the month/early June. Some pictures are already on the website showing what is coming.

I'm loving the new Medusa set and really like the idea of Myths, Legends and Biblical (MLB) theme; something quite different from traditional Toy Soldier releases. Also looking forward to seeing future pieces, esp. Diana and Helen of Troy (mentioned) which will tie in nicely with Ancient Greeks.

I need to dust off my TG mats and Greek warriors in anticipation of Medusa. Minotaur will need to make space for her. ^&grin

The SS Cavalry is a nice duo of new figures as well. Always love that pea dot! May need to add to my bookshelf dio:
