So what exactly is our “Mass Battle” Series? Our Mass Battle figures have our same world class figure sculpting but with a neat, crisp, and tidy level of painting allowing us to bring them to you at a price point starting at only $36.95, almost half the cost of our normal connoisseur level figures. We are launching this series for a variety of reasons, but the primary ones are to allow collectors to build very large dioramas (i.e. “Mass Battles”) at a lower cost than if using only our connoisseur level of figures. Additionally, as costs continue to go up be it because of wage increases or because we are pushing our connoisseur quality to ever higher levels, we want to provide a more entry level figure so that we can reach a broader range of collectors around the world. The new Mass Battle figures can be used in dioramas in combination with our connoisseur figures allowing for both quality and quantity in the same display. We will focus the series on ranges that lend themselves to these larger dioramas and as such we have decided to launch the series with MB001-MB019 ACW Confederates. One important point to note about the future and direction of the series is that it will not be simply offering the same exact figures in a lower painting quality. On the contrary, while we will leverage our existing figure sculpts, figures in the MB series will be new and unique thus making them desirable not only to collectors for whom price is a more sensitive issue, but also our current customer base to be used to complement their existing collections. As an example of what I mean, we may take some French Line infantry sculpts and release them as Swiss or Italians for the Mass Battle Series or perhaps convert Dutch Guard Lancers to Polish Guard Lancers for MB release. These are just a few of the possibilities. So all of the figures in the MB series will be unique and new and not simply a lower cost version of what we’ve already done to Connoisseur quality. We feel this is an exciting development for the hobby as the figures in the series represent an extreme value for what you get for the money. Simply put, our goal is to make the finest figures in the world at their price point and the Mass Battle series will be no exception to this. We sincerely hope you enjoy the new series and look for expansions for both ACW and other historical eras over the months and years to come!!!

I can't wait for Napoleonics in this range! It would be awesome to see an artillery piece, for example.

BRILLIANT :)

Looking forward to seeing Le Grande Armee 'En-Masse' so I sure hope this line of Rebels are successful and the range will expand !!

I agree...I too am looking forward to seeing FL "Mass Battle Series" for NAPS.....It will be easier to add to existing FL ranks at fair price points....Britians is also following a similar strategy.....I hope to SOON see some Russian Taurides from either FL or Britians.

It is a good idea to release figures cheaper to attract more collectors who can not afford high prices

Francisco:salute::

Nice figurines. Great prices. FL is on to something. Would really like to see FL also do a batch of mounted Confederate cavalry say 8 to 12 figurines in this lower priced line. Seems like every manufacturer in the industry avoids depicting Confederate Cavalry in both mounted and dismounted motifs. Hard to understand why this branch from this side in this conflict is avoided. Down right under covered topic. Absolutely sure a mounted or dismounted Rebel cavalry rollout in this low cost series would go over well with ACW collectors.

So much potential with this range, especially if you can hold the prices down. They look great!!

Well this WWII "only" collector has met my match, I'll be making a small order f the new Battle mass troops soon, at 36.00 bucks you can't beat the quality or price, I want to have a decent size Civil War battle scene diorama and this range will work perfect, I may have to pick up a few of the earlier released Civil War sets but can cheery pick what I need there and build my Mass Battle with these fine fellows...Sammy

I was wondering if the two flag bearer
Figures from the mass battles series will also
Be made available in the higher priced, more detailed
Line.

Nice try. :smile2:

But really, I'm quite certain that figure will make it into the MB at some point, but not as the 11th Line infantry.

That's too bad because there is high demand for that Prussian flag-bearer and as a result you could sell quite a few of them along with the Prussian Drummers figures and that alone would re-vitalize the sales of the FL NAP Prussian figures and keep a great NAP line alive

Forget it Frank. Ain't gonna happen. Even without the flag bearer, it's still a great regiment.

There may be a high demand for that figure Frank, but not nearly as high as for a totally new standard bearer. Further, these Prussians were made years ago and we have very few left, it's time to do something else Prussian. And remember we did make it available as a kit so folks who want it can get it.
