McPherson's Ridge- Gettysburg - July 1, 1863 (part2) (1 Viewer)

Outstanding Xavier. I really like picture number 6. And the Civil War Trust maps are great! I can't wait until you do the Peach Orchard! :) (that is a hint :) )Brad

Great work as usual Xavier! I always enjoy viewing your dioramas.

Another great addition to your wonderful work Xavier, I enjoy the fact that others as yourself, Bob, that are from European countries are so well read into what happened in this country back in the late 1800s during the Civil War, I could only wish that more younger kids in America could take more interest in thier own countrys history, sorry, didn't mean to get sidetracked, again another great display as always...Sammy

Gentlemen,
Many thanks for your comments and feed back concerning this display.

Sammy,
I've always been interested in military history, my favorite periods are WWII, Napoleonic's wars and American Civil War. For this last period, I think my fascination goes back to my youth when I saw films such as,"Gone with the wind", "The horse soldiers or "The red badge of courage". During a port visit in Norfolk in 2005 , I had the opportunity to visit Fredericksburg battle field, a great day for me!
So, Since my youth,I try to deepen my knowledge on this conflict, buying books! I'am lucky, my wife is also interested on this period, and she produced sometimes quilts on ACW.
Concerning relationships between youth and history, the problem is very similar in France.
So for my concern, I have many projects of dioramas with my ACW First Legion figures, and waiting for more releases!
Thanks again Sammy for your support!
Best,
Xavier
