Me 163 'KOMET' (1 Viewer)

Is Motion Models one of the companies that makes aircraft in carved wood, like mahogony? Those look familar, like solid models.

Prost!

Hey Chris, never say never! Remember they stuffed that huge lineman from Dallas a few years ago in a cockpit;):D.. And I thought NCR stood for National Cash Registar:rolleyes:.

Any indication as to when KC will release the ME-163?

I am going to try holding my breath or barring that start a fast until they promise to make it. I will not bite anyone until they so promise!

I'll lose a few pounds with yeh, KV.

All kidding aside, I'm really looking foward to the Me-163.

My late father's unit was the first to encounter the Me-163's on the ground.

They ended up packing them into trucks and brought them to Merseburg, Germany, from there they put one on a fast plane back to the States. Later they had to move the rest to Kessal, because Meresburg was in the Russian Zone.

Hey... a new dio idea

An interesting little machine. Looked very futuristic (paint one black and put Batman insignia on it). With the reputation of the ME163 for corrosive fuel leaks K&C could include a disssolved pilot. Actually I think two versions - one with the German figures and such, and another with GIs putting one in the back of a truck for USAAF evaluation.

Now you talking, Gary

The funny thing is, when the G.I's removed the wings and rudders on the Me-163 to transport them by ship to the US they got them all mixed up. So to this day no one really know whats, what for the true camo scheme on the dozen or so ME-163's that were here

Will be a wooden plane?

I think it will be polystone to keep the price down. Given the early announcement, I wonder if maybe KC believes someone else might be producing the Komet? Figarti would be the most likely candidate given their V-1 and 2 sets.

If 2 manufacturer's are producing the Komet, that's great in my opinion.
It will be like Hitler choosing between 2 versions - either Porshe or Henshel, for the Tiger and King Tiger.

Yes, good for collectors, but maybe not for the manufacturer. My guess is that Figarti (if they are making it) would unveil it at the Chicago show. I would just like to know so I can pick up the one that I prefer. I could also be 100% wrong about anyone else making it.

I hope they decide to do a couple of Luftwaffe support vehicles to go with this item if they do indeed release it.

You mean the kind of sale where you pay enough for two but only get one?:D:eek: I'v been working out to participate in next months "outrun the store manager sale".:D.

LOL:D It seems like that lately. I wonder whhen the dollar climbs again will prices go back to normal or will we just keep paying more?

Like most things, there are always reasons for price increases but seldom reasons for decreases.:( We used to joke about the dollar when I was stationed in FRG, it was always "the President has a hemorrhoid" so the dollar fell, then the next day "Presidents hemorrhoids cured" and the dollar would fall again:confused::D. Who can figure it out?
