I do agree with you, Mirof, about this particular auction and figure. I followed the link and had a look at it, and Merricourt, as a toy soldier dealer, ought to know better than to call this a connoisseur figure. But by the same token, his interest is to sell the figure, so he uses the label, hoping to catch a less-educated collector. A lot of effort for seven bucks.
It looks like a kitbash of Imrie-Risley parts, by the way. The painting is execrable.
