Hi Guys,

During the Vietnam War every G.I. posted to Vietnam served for 12 months (Army, Navy and Air Force) the Marines completed 13 months.

During that time all military personnel were eligible for one out-of-country R’n’R (Rest & Recreation) leave period of five days if going to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila or Singapore.

If going further afield to Hawaii or Sydney seven days leave was authorized.

At other off duty times when leave was permitted many ‘Grunts’ enjoyed the many delights of Saigon albeit under the watchful eyes of the Military Police...

All the best,
Andy

Looks like one of the ladies in the 'horizontal refreshment' business ....

Quite authentic for that time and place as well as other cities in SE Asia in that time.

The village elder will be wandering down under as will that attractive young lady. Nice additions Andy. Robin.

The street facade looks great Andy with plenty going on in the street and ready for all sorts of scenes.

Robin has already spotted the village elder I think he'll slot right into lots of scenes set in a Ville !

And the Lady of the night offering her services, reminds me of FMJ and the $5 offer !

Looking forward to these future releases, oh and the Soldier in what looks like a blue hard hat ,could he be a Seabee or Army Engineer or is it a baseball cap ?
