Know it normally is Rob, AKA Western Outlaw who gives us some Halloween dio's at this time of year, thought I'd add one this year too !

Set up idea came from a story in one of Kregg Jorgenson's books.

My friend's dad fought at Firebase Ripcord in Vietnam. He swore he heard spirits moaning during the lull of the battle.

Very scary I must say. Great scene you have shown us here. Thank you.

and a great one I might add, Steve. Making great use of your skellies. Very important this time of year. (cold breeze suddenly blows through the air)

Read this account about Ripcord, really interesting read. Seems mistakes made at Hamburger Hill lead to more mistakes being here. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0891418091/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm sure lots of strange things would of been heard and felt by the troops in those situations !

This is very funny and very festive! Thanks for sharing with us!

Robo, glad you liked ! {eek3}

Yikes, just when you thought you knew your enemy. Robin.
Time Robin Time !{sm2}

Not too scary I hope !:salute::

Well it seemed a waste just to let Jason and his Argonauts have all the fun Rob !:tongue:

Fantastic, especially third tinted pic of the injured bloke being helped by his mates. Did you photoshop the eerie red or splash a bit of red something on the boys?

The photo of the trio wasn't tinted, just it was dark outside so curtains were pulled and light was on, which creates such a different effect to natural daylight which I much prefer !
But I did "weather" the Marines a little by adding some terracotta paint to their boots and trousers and elsewhere to try and re create the Red earth you see in so many Vietnam War photos. The Wounded man did get a little extra blood staining, added a bead necklace wrapped around the guy on the left helmet cover, (made from piece of cotton and some dabs of paint !) and finished with a thin coat of Satin varnish over the trousers and boots to try and convey wet clothing.
Here's a similar photo I just took in daylight !

Nicely done Steve. I admire anyone who can customize paint and detailing on these figures. Very realistic.

Cheers Rob, though I've probably wiped out most of any resale value they might of had when I do this !{eek3}

That's actually quite special Steve, you've outdone yourself mate. One of your best yet IMO. Love the weathering and tall grass. :salute::
