Thanks Scott and Martyn. The base is from Lemax display and is the ocean mat and measures 18" by 48" which you can cut to fit. I ordered mine from an Ohio dealer online. They have grass and cobblestone ones also. I have been thinking about placing my boats on one in my case.Beautiful set Tommy
Can I ask, where did you get your water effect base from, I like it
Cheers

Martyn,
Don't tell me you have a "ocean" going sea vessel to place on the "ocean" mat
Tommy,
A very nice set. How did you come to acquire this set and what is the name of this set?
All the best,
Lawrence
Hi Lawrence: That is set no. 1508A, Nostalgic River Steamer with Civilian Passengers. There is a large book of C.B.G Mignot with excellent photographs. The U.S. dealer is Le Petit Solidat in St. Louis. www.LEPETITSOLDAT.com I also have set no.1508 which is a colonial gunboat the same size with more figures. I ran across some photos in Old Toy Soldier and got interested because they produce some unusual sets. I have four sets. They have really neat diorama boxes.Martyn,
