If you have been on the Treefrog Treasures website this week you may have noticed a new button at the top of the screen between "Photo Gallery" and "My Account".

I am very pleased to announce the new "Resource" area of Treefrog Treasures. Much more than just a "links" page this new resource is a great starting point for introducing someone to the hobby.
Eventually covering almost all aspects of the hobby these pages are divided into two main areas:
Military Miniatures
and
Military History.

While still a work in progress, completed areas already include the following military miniature topics:

Introduction:
Comprehensive overview on the history and types of military miniatures in every scales and material. If you thought figures only come in 54mm or 60mm you will be amazed at what you find here!

Manufacturers:

This area gives descriptions, samples and links to companies currently making military miniatures-- from the well-known to completely obscure.

We don't only list manufacturers carried by Treefrog Treasures--you are guaranteed to find lines you have never seen before!

Collections:

These links take you to page after page of photos of military miniatures collections. If you are interested in contributing photos or links to your own collection please let us know. We would love to have all our customers' collections on display!

Please take a moment to check out the new resource pages and drop us a line to let us know what you think of them. Hours and hours of work have gone into this new area and we hope you will find it well worth the effort.

What we currently have available is only the beginning. Now that much of the Military Miniatures area has been completed I believe work will begin on the Military History pages.
Check back often for new features and information.

Best regards,

Re: Exciting Addition to the Treefrog Website!

When I received the Rivet (the weekly Treefrog dispatches) yesterday, I saw the reference to the Resources page and spent some time looking at it. It is excellent and Shannon and her team should be complimented for all the work they did on it. Yeah, I know I'm the Moderator, etc. but it really is very good and a lot of good stuff on there.

Excellent job.

Re: Exciting Addition to the Treefrog Website!

Much progress has been made on the military history part of the new Treefrog resource pages! Please check out the new Napoleonic pages and report back what you think. If you know of a great resource that isn't listed there just let us know.
Thanks!

Re: Exciting Addition to the Treefrog Website!

Some of the links are just great! Unfortunately the Napoleonic Brigade link does not work.:(

Kilt:

I checked out the Brigade Napoleon link this AM (6/18) and it is working fine. Sometimes the servers at a particular site may be down.

WWI Resource Page Now Available

Hi All,
The WWI resource page is now available on the Treefrog Resource area. Battles, campaigns, uniforms, aviation, equipment, music, museums, historic sites, reenactments, and more await your perusal.

I think you will find this a very interesting and useful addition to the resource pages. Lots of great stuff!:D

Shannon, et al.
Thanks for the new WW1 resource page. This might just kick start me into collecting K&C's WW1 range. Something I've been manfully resisting as much as possible....but I can feel the irresistable puuuuuuuulllllll................:)
Excellent source material. :)
Best Regards

Daniel Pedrazzoli a new member of the forum suggested that we add 2 new sites on uniforms to the Napoleonic Resource page. Dan who lives in Madrid is the creator of these very nice and useful uniform websites.

Check them out at http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/reference/ttmmrmilhistNAP.html (Under Uniforms category)

Attached is a typical illustration from the sites.

I have just checked out this link, the resource area has grown enourmously, fantastic, thanks to all who contributed and of course our hosts.

Shannon, I just read the latest email rivet! Congrats on the use of publisher - I would like to learn. Can we agree a course on toy soldier publishing? Suggest it is run in...........................Florida, the Canary Islands etc (i.e. warm!):D

What you don't want to come here to Minnesota to learn where the windchill was -40 last night? It is hard to learn much from the online tutorials as you slowly turn blue with cold. That first article in Publisher took me hours to do--and redo. Now that I've had a chance to work with it hopefully the next Collector Spotlight will be much faster! I'm looking for more collectors to profile--how about you next???

Shannon, I was talking with Michael at STS about the effort you folks put out to run the forum. We both agree that you folks must spend a great deal of time running this. The headaches and what not must be somewhat consuming. Any roads I continue my hats off to you and your staff. Thank you!

Hear, hear KV.
I'll second, third and fourth that.
Cheers
